Osvaldo Rodrigues da Cunha (6 April 1928 – 11 March 2011) was a Brazilian paleontologist and herpetologist. Da Cunha was born in Belém, and studied zoology at the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA) of Manaus. Belém (; Portuguese for Bethlehem; initially called Nossa Senhora de Belém do Grão-Pará, in English Our Lady of Bethlehem of Great Pará) often called Belém of Pará, is a Brazilian city, capital and largest city of the state of Pará in the country's north.
