Osumanu Adama
Osumamu Adama (born December 24, 1980) is a Ghanaian professional boxer in the middleweight division, and the first middleweight titleholder from Ghana. Early life One of nine children, Osamamu grew up in Accra into a large family, and helped to take care of his six sisters and two brothers. His late mother worked in a grocery store, and his father worked in an ice cream factory. Osumamu attended Kotobabi Technical Institute High School in Accra, and earned a four-year college diploma in mechanical engineering. He later worked as a mechanical engineer for a company in Accra. Whilst growing, his favorite sport was playing soccer, which he still enjoys. Amateur boxing career and Olympics Osumanu Adama compiled an amateur boxing record of 54–4 with twenty knockouts in Ghana as a light middleweight. Joseph Awinongya
Joseph Awinongya (born 1974 in Ashaiman, Ghana) is a Ghanaian professional boxing trainer and public speaker on sports who trains amateur and professional boxers in Joliet, Illinois, and is best known as the trainer of IBO International Middleweight champion Osumanu Adama. He was also a former professional cruiserweight boxer known as 'The African Assassin'. Boxing career Awinongya was signed by Don King as a cruiserweight boxer after being seen while sparring in Europe. Awinongya compiled a professional record of 12–9–5 with 3 knockouts, in bouts held in Italy, the Netherlands, and in the United States. Awinongya never fought in Ghana. Awinongya's boxing career moved from Europe to the United States in 1999, and he was unbeaten in eight straight bouts before losing an eight-round decision to Steve Cunningham. Grady Brewer
Grady Lamont Brewer (born December 22, 1970) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1999 to 2015. A former IBA and International Boxing Council (IBC) Light Middleweight titleholder, he is the 2006 winner of the ESPN reality show, '' The Contender''. Outside the ring, he works at the Goodyear plant in Lawton to support his wife and four children. In a family of boxers, it was natural that Brewer would also pick up the gloves. His amateur career started at age 11, and Brewer went on to win 40 of his 45 fights, the Oklahoma Golden Gloves tournament in his weight class, as well as winning a toughman tournament in Lawton, Oklahoma. Daniel Geale (born 26 February 1981) is an Australian former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2016. He held the unified WBA (Super) and IBF middleweight titles between 2011 and 2013, and the IBO middleweight title from 2007 to 2009.
