Osterøy IL
Osterøy Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Osterøy. It has sections for football, handball, track and field, gymnastics and Nordic skiing. The club was founded on 15 February 1918 as ''TIL Skarphedin''. On 12 April 1946 it merged with ''Mjeldalen SL'' and ''Skarpodder'' and took the name ''Osterøy IL''. The men's football team currently resides in the Fifth Division (sixth tier). Osterøy
Osterøy is an island municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordhordland. The municipality encompasses most of the island of Osterøy. The administrative centre of Osterøy is the village of Lonevåg in the central part of the island. The largest settlement is the village of Valestrandfossen with 1,219 inhabitants as of 1 January 2016. Osterøy municipality and Vaksdal Municipality are both located on the island of Osterøy. Norwegian Third Division
The Norwegian Third Division, also called 3. divisjon, is the fourth highest division of the men's football league in Norway. Like the rest of the Norwegian football league system, the season runs from spring to autumn, running approximately from April to October.
