Amando de Ossorio (6 April 1918 – 13 January 2001) was one of the foremost Spanish horror film directors during the European horror film surge in the 1970s, known especially for his "Blind Dead" tetralogy. Biography De Ossorio directed a short political film in 1956 called ''The Black Flag'', then spent the next few years doing documentaries and commercials. He was also a talented painter and artist. In 1964, he was hired to direct a few innocuous westerns and comedies, then he moved into horror in 1969 where he made his mark with '' Malenka, The Vampire's Niece''. Amando de Ossorio complained in interviews that right from the start of his directing career, his producers were always tampering with his projects. Ángel Ossorio Y Gallardo
Angel Ossorio y Gallardo (b. Madrid, 20 June 1873 - d. Buenos Aires, 19 May 1946) was a Spanish lawyer and statesman. He served as Minister of Development during the reign of Alfonso XIII and later was a staunch supporter of the Second Spanish Republic. He died in exile in Argentina. Education and academic career Having earned his Bachelor of Law from the Central Madrid University, Ossorio y Gallardo won great prestige as a lawyer and writer in the early twentieth century, with works such as "The Soul of the Toga" and "Divorce in civil marriage". He chaired the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation and was the chairman of the Ateneo de Madrid cultural society in 1923–1924. Aníbal González Álvarez-Ossorio (10 June 1876 in Seville – 31 May 1929) was a Spanish architect who made important buildings in Seville and Madrid. He designed the Plaza de España (Seville), Plaza de España and he was the chief architect of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 in Seville. González was born in Seville. He studied in Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, La Escuela Superior de Arquitectura (Madrid Superior Technical School of Architecture) where he graduated in 1902. At the beginning of his career his style was Art Deco, but later evolved towards regionalism. Beatriz De Bobadilla Y Ossorio
Beatriz de Bobadilla y Ulloa-Ossorio (Medina del Campo, 1462 – Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1504) was the daughter of Juan de Bobadilla and named after his cousin Beatriz de Bobadilla. Beatriz de Bobadilla y Ossorio was married to ruler of the La Gomera and El Hierro islands, Lord Hernán Peraza the Younger and after his death she succeeded him as ruler. Background Beatriz was born in Medina del Campo to the powerful and wealthy Bobadilla family with close ties to the Crown of Castile. Her father, Juan de Bobadilla, held numerous roles including alderman for Medina del Campo, governor of Madrid, and chief huntsman for the Catholic Monarchs.
