Oskar Eyovbirere Ibru (born 1958) is a Nigerian billionaire businessman and investor who currently serves as the chairman and CEO of the Ibru Organization. Early life and education Oskar Ibru is the eldest son of Michael Ibru, founder of the Ibru Organization. He attended Igbobi College for his secondary education before proceeding to Skidmore College for his first degree and later Atlanta University graduate school of business for his master's degree. The Ibru Organization, established in 1956, became one of the largest conglomerates in Africa. By 1990 it had between 9,000 and 11,000 employees. By 2009 the Ibru Organization was a multi-billion dollar business with interests that included shipping, Hospitality, agriculture, aviation, banking, oil and gas. Origins The Ibru family are Urhobo people from Agbarha-Otor, near Ughelli in Delta State. The family patriarch was Chief Peter Epete Ibru, a missionary who worked for much of his life in Yorubaland. Michael Onajirevbe Ibru (25 December 1930 – 6 September 2016) was a Nigerian pioneer industrialistbillionaire business magnate and the founder of the Ibru Organization, one of the largest conglomerates in Africa. Igbobi College
Igbobi College is a college established by the Methodist and Anglican Churches in 1932, in the Yaba suburb of Lagos, Lagos State, South-western Nigeria.
