Natalia Petrovna Osipova (russian: Наталья Петровна Осипова; born 18 May 1986) is a Russian ballerina, currently a principal ballerina with The Royal Ballet in London. Mariya Borisovna Osipova ( be, Марыя Барысаўна Осіпава, translit=Maryja Barysaǔna Osipava, ; 27 December 1908 – 5 February 1999) was a Soviet Belarusian partisan who provided Yelena Mazanik with the bomb she used to kill Wilhelm Kube, a high-ranking SS officer and the General-Commissar of Nazi-occupied Belarus. For doing so, Osipova and her co-conspirators were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 29 October 1943. Yelena Andreyevna Osipova ( rus, Елена Андреевна Осипова; born November 11, 1945) is an artist and political activist from Saint Petersburg. She became popularized in the media as "grandmother for peace" when she was arrested for protesting against the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Life Osipova's parents were survivors of the Siege of Leningrad, but the rest of her family died. Her grandmother had previously worked as a security guard in the Russian Museum. Osipova studied at the Tavricheskaya Art School. Osipova is known for participation in public protests, with placards she has made herself.
