Oshie, Cameroon
Oshie is a small mountainous village covering approximately 70 square kilometers. It is located in the English-speaking Northwest Province of Cameroon. It is located to the east of Njikwa Sub-division in Momo Division and forms a geographical gate way into Njikwa. Oshie is a land of rich physical diversity and presents an undulating landscape which is an extension of the Bamboutos Highlands of the Western Highlands of Cameroon. It is a centre of Garri production. Population 2004 population projections placed the population of the village at 10,822 inhabitants. This population is structured into families that were born out of two principal families; Andek and Oyemi. Though the population is made up predominantly of indigenes, the society is ethnically and religiously pluralistic, yet very peaceful. Flag Of Cameroon
The national flag of Cameroon (french: drapeau du Cameroun) was adopted in its present form on 20 May 1975 after Cameroon became a unitary state. It is a vertical tricolour of green, red and yellow, with a five-pointed star in its center. There is a wide variation in the size of the central star, although it is always contained within the inside stripe. Description The colour scheme uses the traditional Pan-African colours (Cameroon was the second state to adopt them). The centre stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity". The yellow stands for the sun, and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon. Widikum
Widikum is a town and capital of the Widikum-Boffe Communes of Cameroon, district in Cameroon. It also serves as the Ambazonian capital of States of Ambazonia, Midland State. Home to the Widikum people, Widikum Tribe, it is located in Momo (department), Momo County in Northwest Region (Cameroon), northwestern Cameroon . Within the district, the town has a population of 28 152 (2005). The town is located at the meeting point of the Momo and Man River.
