Osborne Park, New South Wales
Osborne Park is a former urban place on the North Shore (Sydney), North Shore of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Osborne Park was located in the eastern part of the suburb of Lane Cove, New South Wales, Lane Cove. Its designation as an urban place was withdrawn in 1999. The locality was called after 'Osborne Park' (later called 'Kermadec') in Osborne Rd, built by the future Prime Minister, Billy Hughes in 1906. The Osborne Park Progress Association, founded in 1926, has developed tennis courts and other projects for community benefit. Artarmon, New South Wales
Artarmon is a suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, 9 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Willoughby. History In 1794 and 1796, land grants were given to soldiers and emancipists to encourage farming. The most important farm was owned by William Gore (1765–1845), who was the provost marshal under NSW Governor William Bligh. Gore received a grant of in 1810, and named it Artarmon after his family estate in Ireland. Gore Hill is named after him. The Chatswood South Uniting Church, located at the corner of Mowbray Road and the Pacific Highway, designed by architect and later mayor of Manly, Thomas Rowe, was built in 1871. Longueville is a suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, 8 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Municipality of Lane Cove. Longueville is a small residential suburb on the peninsula between Tambourine Bay and Woodford Bay, on the banks of the Lane Cove River. Northwood is a suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 8 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Municipality of Lane Cove.
