''Orthophytum'' (Greek "ortho" = straight and "phytum" = plant) is a genus in the plant Family (biology), family Bromeliaceae, subfamily Bromelioideae.
Distribution
All the species of the bromeliad genus are endemic to the Atlantic Forest, Atlantic Forest biome (''Mata Atlantica Brasileira''), located in southeast Brazil.
