Orsola Faccioli
Orsola Faccioli or Licata Faccioli (August 16, 1823 –1906) was an Italian painter, mainly of vedute and interior scenes. Biography She was born in Vicenza, the last of seven siblings, of which only three reached adulthood. Her family arranged for her to study at the Accademia of Venice. In a number of contests, she won the silver medal at the Accademia. In 1848, she married professor Siciliano Antonio (Antonino) Licata. She moved with him to Naples, but exhibited and traveled throughout Italy with him, till his death in 1892. In 1867, she was named instructor of elements of design at the Neapolitan Istituto Privati degli Educandati femminili. She was elected Academic Associates of the Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia, and of the Academy of Venice in 1864. San Giorgio Al Velabro
San Giorgio in Velabro is a church in Rome, Italy, dedicated to St. George. The church is located next to the Arch of Janus in the rione of Ripa in the ancient Roman Velabrum. According to the founding legend of Rome, the church was built where Roman history began: it is near here that the mythical she-wolf found the mythical babies, Romulus and Remus. Cemetery Of Poggioreale
The Cemetery of Poggioreale is one of the major cemeteries in Naples, Italy. It is also known as Camposanto Nuovo, to distinguish it from Camposanto Vecchio, which is now known as Cemetery of the 366 Fossae. It is bordered by the Largo Santa Maria del Pianto, Via del Riposo, Via Santa Maria del Pianto, and via nuova Poggioreale, and is built upon the ruins of Alphonso II's Villa Poggio Reale. History Until the 18th century most funeral monuments were located inside churches, closer to the divine air, and where they could either buy a generation of prayer, or at least be entombed within earshot of genuflecting masses, so as to be lifted into heaven by their overhead chants.
