Orrock is an unincorporated community in Orrock Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota, United States. Orrick, Missouri
Orrick is a town in Ray County, Missouri, and part of the Kansas City metropolitan area within the United States. The population was 753 at the 2020 census. History The first community in the area was Albany when it was established by Ely Carter in 1854. When he applied for a post office it was denied because there was another Albany already in the state and he used the name of his wife Ada for the post office but still continued to call the town Albany. "Bloody Bill" Anderson was killed during the American Civil War during the Battle of Albany on October 24, 1864. Albany formally incorporated in 1871 however by then St. Louis, Kansas City and Northern Star railroad (the Wabash Railroad) laid tracks a mile south in 1868 and 1869 and a new community of Orrick sprung up around them. Robert Dickson Orrock, Sr. is an American politician. Since 1990, he has been a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 54th district in the east-central part of the state, including (since 2002) parts of Caroline and Spotsylvania counties; the former county is included in the Greater Richmond Region and the latter county is included in the Washington metropolitan area. From 1990–1991, the District encompassed all of Spotsylvania County, part of Caroline County, and part of the Fredericksburg City. Bryan Orrock
Bryan Orrock (1930−2019) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s. An Australia national and New South Wales state representative forward, he played his club football in the NSWRFL Premiership for South Sydney and St. George, winning premierships with both clubs. Career Orrock was a South Sydney junior and began playing first grade for them in the 1950 NSWRFL season when they won their first premiership in 18 years. Orrock did not play in that year's grand final, but played for Souths at front row forward in the 1951 NSWRFL season's premiership decider, in which they defeated St. George. James Orrock
James Orrock R.I., R.O.I. (1829 – 10 May 1913), was a prominent Scottish collector of art and oriental ceramics, illustrator and landscape watercolourist. The scale of his involvement with the art trade and with top collectors such as John Ruskin is highlighted in the large two volume set of books published about him by Byron Webber: published in London, Chatto and Windus 1903: James Orrock R.I., Painter, Connoisseur, Collector. Rather than being a forger as some modern scholars like to believe Orrock was a dedicated enthusiast of contemporary British art and emulated some of those artists in his own work. Nan Grogan Orrock (born November 8, 1943) is an American politician serving as the Democratic State Senator in the Georgia State Senate, representing Senate District 36 in eastern Atlanta. Following the 2006 retirement of State Senator Sam Zamarripa, Orrock was a candidate for his district; in the Democratic primary held on July 18, 2006 Orrock defeated Grace Davis to win a seat in the State Senate since she has no Republican opponent for the general election. She was sworn into office in 2007. She was previously a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 1987, representing the 58th district. She was the Vice-Chair of the House Democratic Caucus and the former Majority Whip, the first woman to ever hold this role.
