Sam Oropeza (born June 17, 1985) is a former American mixed martial artist, coach, manager, boxer, and politician who most notably competed in Bellator's middleweight and welterweight divisions. Jennifer Ann Oropeza (September 27, 1957 – October 20, 2010) was the California State Senator for the 28th district which included the cities of Carson, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Torrance; the Los Angeles communities of Cheviot Hills, Bel Air, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, Lennox, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Palms, Playa del Rey, Rancho Park, San Pedro, West Los Angeles, Westchester, Wilmington and Venice; and part of the city of Long Beach. 2023 Cleveland, Texas Shooting
On April 28, 2023, a mass shooting occurred northwest of Cleveland in San Jacinto County, Texas, United States, resulting in the deaths of five people, including a nine-year-old boy. The alleged perpetrator was a neighbor, who was captured on May 2 after a four-day manhunt. Luis Enrique Oropeza Sonoqui (born 27 October 1995) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga de Expansión MX club Pumas Tabasco for Liga de Expansión MX club Pumas Tabasco, on loan from UNAM. Many of his literary works have been translated into several languages. He was one of the most distinguished semioticians in Mexico and Latin America. Juan Oropeza Riera (24 April 1906 – 29 November 1971) was a Venezuelan lawyer, diplomat, writer, educator and political scientist. He was born in Carora in the state of Lara, and was the younger brother of pediatrics pioneer, Pastor Oropeza Riera. Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere.
