Orgill is a large area in the town of Egremont, Cumbria which contains an estimated 1000 inhabitants. Crab Fair Orgill is part of one of the oldest fairs in history, as it is where the crab fair field is every year, which usually contains carnival style games, fair ground rides and performances from various local bands/entertainers. Egremont, Cumbria
Egremont is a market town, civil parish and two Wards and electoral divisions of the United Kingdom, electoral wards in Cumbria, England, and Historic counties of England, historically part of Cumberland. It is situated just outside the Lake District National Park, south of Whitehaven and on the River Ehen. The town, which lies at the foot of Uldale Valley and Dent (fell), Dent Fell, has a long industrial heritage including dyeing, weaving and iron ore mining. It had a population of 7,444 in 2001, increasing to 8,194 at the 2011 Census. The town's layout today is much the same as at the time of Richard de Lucy around 1200 with its wide Main Street opening out into the market place. The remains of the Norman dynasty, Norman castle, built in the 12th century, are situated at the southern end of Main Street near the market place. Wearside Football League
The Wearside Football League is a non-league football competition based in northern England. It consists of three divisions which sits at steps 7 to 9 (or levels 11 to 13) of the National League System and is a feeder to the Northern League Division Two. Founded in 1892, the Wearside League's level has fluctuated in its history, though it has typically sat below the Northern League. The league's high point was probably during the 1960s and 70s after several teams from the defunct North Eastern League joined it; Wearside League teams won the FA Vase in 1978 and 1981. With the restructuring of the National League System in the early 2000s its place at step 7 became fully established, helped by a merger with the Durham Alliance Combination League in 2017. The league has expanded and contracted its number of divisions over the years, and as of 2021-22 consists of three divisions.
