Oreste Cioni
Oreste Cioni (born 13 February 1913 in Telgate, died 1968 in Terni) was an Italian footballer. He played his whole career with Ternana. He made his debut in 1932–1933 season, while his club was playing in I Divisione. He began to play regularly only from 1939–1940 season, in Serie C. He played until 1947–1948 season in Serie B. After five years, when Ternana was fallen in Promozione, he became player-manager of the team. The following year he remained only as a manager and won the promotion in Serie D The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. Ternana Calcio, commonly referred to as Ternana, is an Italian football club based in Terni, Umbria. The club was founded in 1925 and refounded in 1993. The Serie B (), currently named Serie Balkrishna Industries, BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie A. It has been operating for over ninety years since the 1929–30 Serie B, 1929–30 season. The Promozione (, "promotion") is the sixth level in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Promozione level progresses to their closest regional league in the Eccellenza level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the 7th level of Italian football, the Prima Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level.
