Oregon's 9th Senate District
District 9 of the Oregon State Senate comprises eastern Marion and Linn counties, as well as southern Clackamas County. It is currently represented by Republican Fred Girod of Molalla. Election results District boundaries have changed over time, therefore, senators before 2013 may not represent the same constituency as today. Oregon Senate District 9
Oregon () is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. The Columbia River delineates much of Oregon's northern boundary with Washington, while the Snake River delineates much of its eastern boundary with Idaho. The Constitution Party, formerly the U.S. Taxpayers' Party until 1999, is a political party in the United States that promotes a religious conservative view of the principles and intents of the United States Constitution. Roger Beyer is a Republican politician from the US state of Oregon, who most recently served in the Oregon State Senate, representing District 9, which includes parts of Clackamas, Linn, and Marion County, Oregon counties. Frank Shields (Oregon Politician)
Frank W. Shields (born March 26, 1945) is an American politician and Methodist minister who served in both houses of the Oregon Legislative Assembly, from 1993 until 2007. Biography Shields was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania in 1945. He served as chair of the Multnomah County Charter Review Committee from 1983 until 1984. Randy Leonard
Charles Randall ‘Randy’ Leonard (born 1952) is a politician in the U.S. state of Oregon. He was a member of the Oregon Legislative Assembly from 1993 to 2002 and served as a city commissioner in Portland (a member of the Portland City Council) from 2002 through 2012. Career Prior to serving in Portland city government, Leonard served in the Oregon Legislative Assembly and was a lieutenant with the Portland Fire Bureau. In 1985, Leonard was elected President of the Portland Firefighters Association. He was elected as the Portland Firefighters President four times, serving in that position until 1998. Oregon State Senate
The Oregon State Senate is the upper house of the statewide legislature for the US state of Oregon. Along with the lower chamber Oregon House of Representatives it makes up the Oregon Legislative Assembly. There are 30 members of the state Senate, representing 30 districts across the state, each with a population of 127,700. The state Senate meets in the east wing of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem. Oregon state senators serve four-year terms without term limits. Molalla, Oregon
Molalla is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon. The population was 8,108 at the time of the 2010 census. History Molalla was named after the Molalla River, which in turn was named for the Molala, a Native American tribe that inhabited the area. William H. Vaughan took up a donation land claim in the area in 1844. Molalla post office was established in 1850, near the site of Liberal, and was discontinued in 1851. The post office was reestablished in 1868 and it ran until 1874, then was reestablished in 1876, which is when it was probably placed at the present location of Molalla. Since the late 1990s, the city experienced a surge in growth and expansion in the residential sector. In 2000, a number of franchised business have located in Molalla.
