Oregon's 59th House District
District 59 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021, the boundary for the district contains all of Crook County, Oregon, Crook and portions of Deschutes County, Oregon, Deschutes and Jefferson County, Oregon, Jefferson counties. The district is anchored by the population centers of Madras, Oregon, Madras and Prineville, Oregon, Prineville as well as parts of Bend, Oregon, Bend and Redmond, Oregon, Redmond. The current representative for the district is Republican Party (United States), Republican Vikki Breese-Iverson of Prineville. Election results District boundaries have changed over time. Oregon () is a U.S. state, state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. The Columbia River delineates much of Oregon's northern boundary with Washington (state), Washington, while the Snake River delineates much of its eastern boundary with Idaho. John Dallum
John H. Dallum is a former politician in the U.S. state of Oregon. He served in the Oregon House of Representatives for District 59, which covers The Dalles, Madras and John Day. Dallum, a Republican, was appointed to the legislature in June 2004 to the seat vacated by fellow Republican John Mabrey, who had resigned after being indicted for theft. He was subsequently elected twice to the House, defeating Democrats Jack Lorts in 2004 and Jim Gilbertson in 2006. Dallum announced July 16, 2007, that he would resign his seat effective the end of that month. His stated reason was to take a job as a school superintendent in Valier, Montana, a location nearer his grown children. 2020 Oregon House Of Representatives Election
The 2020 Oregon House of Representatives election were held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, with the primary election being held on May 19, 2020. Voters in the 60 districts of the Oregon House of Representatives elected their representatives. The elections coincided with the elections for other offices, including for the Oregon State Senate and for U.S. President. The Democratic Party kept their majority. Daniel Bonham
Daniel Bonham (born June 3, 1977) is a Republican member of the Oregon State Senate. He represents the 26th district, encompassing rural Clackamas County and parts of Wasco, Hood River, and east Multnomah Counties making up the Columbia River Gorge. Biography Bonham was raised in Tigard, Oregon, and graduated from Tigard High School in 1995. He received a bachelor's degree in business from Linfield College in 1999. Bonham then worked for Evergreen International Aviation and RB Rubber Products in McMinnville, before moving to The Dalles in 2007, where he purchased Maupin's Stove and Spas. Bonham lost his wife, Lori, to cancer in December 2022. Daniel has two children: Jennifer and Jack. In early 2023, Bonham was injured in a House vs. Senate basketball game. The 2018 elections for the Oregon Legislative Assembly determined the composition of both houses for the 80th Oregon Legislative Assembly. The Republican and Democratic parties held primary elections on May 15, 2018 with general elections on November 6, 2018.
