District 12 of the Oregon State Senate comprises parts of Washington County, Oregon, Washington, Yamhill County, Oregon, Yamhill, Polk County, Oregon, Polk, Marion County, Oregon, Marion, and Benton County, Oregon, Benton counties. Oregon () is a U.S. state, state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. Clackamas County, Oregon
Clackamas County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, the population was 421,401, making it Oregon's third-most populous county. Its county seat is Oregon City. The county was named after the Native Americans living in the area, the Clackamas people, who are part of the Chinookan peoples. Clackamas County is part of the Portland-Vancouver- Hillsboro, OR- WA Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is in the Willamette Valley. Gary George was a Republican politician from the US state of Oregon. He was a member of the Oregon State Senate from 1997 to 2009, representing District 12. George and his wife Kathy owned a hazelnut farm and processing plant and a christmas tree farm outside Newberg. They have five children including former state senator Larry George (R-OR, 13th). Dave McTeague (born November 19, 1952) is an American Democratic politician who served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 1985 until 1995. Early life McTeague was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1952 to Ken, a school music teacher, and Dorine McTeague. Oregon State Senate
The Oregon State Senate is the upper house of the statewide legislature for the US state of Oregon. Along with the lower chamber Oregon House of Representatives it makes up the Oregon Legislative Assembly. There are 30 members of the state Senate, representing 30 districts across the state, each with a population of 127,700. The state Senate meets in the east wing of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem. Brian James Boquist (born October 20, 1958) is an Independent, formerly Republican, politician from Oregon; he currently serves in the Oregon Senate representing District 12. Previously, he was in the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 23 in the mid-Willamette Valley from 2005 to 2009.
