Mohsen Fakhrizadeh
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Mahabadi ( fa, محسن فخریزاده مهابادی ;195827 November 2020) was an Iranian nuclear physicist and scientist. He was regarded as the chief of Iran's nuclear program. Born in Qom in 1958, Fakhrizadeh joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps after the Iranian revolution of 1979. He attended Shahid Beheshti University and later received a PhD from the University of Isfahan. Beginning in 1991, he was a physics professor at Imam Hossein University. Fakhrizadeh led the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research and the Green Salt Project. Due to Fakhrizadeh's affiliation with the Iranian nuclear program, both the United Nations Security Council and the United States ordered his assets frozen in the mid-2000s. Mohammad Salimi
Mohammad Salimi ( fa, محمد سلیمی; 1937 – 2016) was an Iranian military who served as the 6th Minister of Defense in November 1981 to August 1984 and the commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army in 2000 to 2005. Early life Salimi was born in Mashhad in 1937. Career Salimi was the defense minister in the cabinet of Mir-Hossein Mousavi, replacing Javad Fakoori. He was in office from 1981 to August 1984. He was succeeded by Mohammad Hossein Jalali as defense minister. Although Salimi retired, he was appointed commander-in-chief in May 2000, replacing Ali Shahbazi. Salimi resigned from office in September 2005. He was succeeded by Major General Ataollah Salehi as the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army. Mousa Namjoo
Mousa Namjoo (, 17 December 1938 – 29 September 1981) was an Iranian military who served as the minister of defence and armed forces logistics in August to September 1981. Biography Namjoo was born in Bandar-e Anzali on 17 December 1938. He graduated from Officers' School (now Imam Ali Military University). He was married and had three children. He worked at the National Military Academy with the rank of colonel. He was instrumental in developing a cooperation between the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and army before and during the Iran Iraq war. He also fought in the war. He was appointed minister of defence and armed forces logistics to the interim government led by Prime Minister Mohammad-Reza Mahdavi Kani on 2 September 1981. Mohammad Hossein Jalali ( fa, محمدحسین جلالی) is an Iranian military official who served as minister of defense. Career Jalali was appointed minister of defense in October 1985 to the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Mir Hossein Mousavi. He replaced Mohammad Salimi as defense minister. He served as the Chief-of-Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces—the most senior military authority in Iran—from 1989 to 2016. After that, he was appointed as a senior military advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran and a member of the Expediency Discernment Council.
