Orazio Gentileschi
Orazio Lomi Gentileschi (1563–1639) was an Italian painter. Born in Tuscany, he began his career in Rome, painting in a Mannerist style, much of his work consisting of painting the figures within the decorative schemes of other artists. After 1600, he came under the influence of the more naturalistic style of Caravaggio. He received important commissions in Fabriano and Genoa before moving to Paris to the court of Marie de Medici. He spent the last part of his life at the court of Charles I of England. He was the father of the painter Artemisia Gentileschi. Life Gentileschi was born in Tuscany, the son of a Florentine goldsmith called Giovanni Battista Lomi, and baptised at Pisa on 9 July 1563. He later took the name Gentileschi from an uncle with whom he lived after moving to Rome in either 1576 or 1578. Orazio Maurice Fantasia ( or ; born 14 September 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by the Essendon Football Club with the 55th overall selection in the 2013 national draft. AFL career Fantasia graduated from Norwood Morialta High School in 2013. Fantasia played his junior football for the Payneham Norwood Union Football Club where his talent was identified by South Australian Hall of Famer Garry McIntosh who selected him in the club's senior side as a 15 year old. Orazio Borgianni
Orazio Borgianni (6 April 1574 – 14 January 1616) was an Italian painter and etcher of the Mannerist and early- Baroque periods. He was the stepbrother of the sculptor and architect Giulio Lasso. Borgianni was born in Rome, where he was documented in February 1604. He was instructed in the art of painting by his brother, Giulio Borgianni, called Scalzo. The patronage by Philip II of Spain induced him to visit Spain, where he signed an inventory in January 1605. He returned to Rome from Spain after April 1605 at the height of his career, and most of the work of his maturity was carried out 1605–16. In Spain, he signed a petition to begin an Italianate academy of painting and executed a series of nine paintings for the Convento de Portacoeli, Valladolid, where they remain. Orazio Benevoli
Orazio Benevoli or Benevolo (19 April 1605 – 17 June 1672), was a Franco-Italian composer of large scaled polychoral sacred choral works (e.g., one work featured forty-eight vocal and instrumental lines) of the mid-Baroque era. He was born in Rome, to a French baker and confectioner, Robert Venouot or Vénevot, which name was Italianized to ''Benevolo''. Benevoli was a choirboy at San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome (1617–23). Later, he assumed posts as ''maestro di cappella'' at Santa Maria in Trastevere (from 1624); then, at Santo Spirito in Sassia (from 1630); and, eventually, at his old church, San Luigi dei Francesi (from 1638). Benevoli served as ''Kapellmeister'' in the court of Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria from 1644 to 1646. 300 px, The Villa Falconieri in Frascati; renovations were commissioned by Orazio Falconieri Orazio Falconieri (died 1664) was an Italian nobleman from Florence; he was the owner of the Villa Falconieri. His heraldic symbol was a falcon. Family Falconieri was the son of Paolo Falconieri and Maddalena Albizzi and the brother of Lelio Falconieri who was later elevated to Cardinal. In 1615 he married Ottavia Sacchetti (1590–1645), sister of Cardinal Giulio Cesare Sacchetti who would later consecrate Orazio's brother Lelio. The Sacchetti and Falconieri were already close; Orazio's father had made his fortune importing salt and as a result Orazio had business connections to Ottavia Sacchetti's father. Orazio Giustiniani (28 February 1580 – 25 July 1649) was an Italian Catholic Cardinal. Biography Giustiniani was born the Island of Chios, then part of the Republic of Genoa, to the powerful Giustiniani family. He was a relative of two Bishops of Chio - Girolamo Giustiniani (1599–1604) and Marco Giustiniani (1604–1640). He entered the Congregation of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri in 1603, only 8 years after the death of Philip Neri. He was named, by Cardinal Antonio Barberini (brother of then-Pope Urban VIII), superintendent of the abbey of Farfa and custodian of the Vatican Library in 1630. Orazio Farnese, Duke of Castro (Valentano, February 1532 – Hesdin, 18 July 1553) was the third duke of Castro. He was the son of Pier Luigi Farnese, Duke of Parma, and his wife Gerolama Orsini. He married Diane de France on 14 February 1552. Orazio was at Hesdin when Emperor Charles V placed the city under siege. Orazio was killed 16 July 1553. Orazio Alfani (c. 1510 – 1583) was an Italian Painting, painter of the Renaissance period, active in both Palermo and Perugia. He is sometimes referred to as Orazio di Domenico or di Paris Alfani. Born near Perugia, he first trained with his father, the painter Domenico Alfani. His work was also influenced by the Mannerism, Mannerist painters Rosso Fiorentino and Raffaellino del Colle. Orazio Fagone
Orazio Fagone (born 13 November 1968) is an Italian sledge hockey player and former short track speed skater who competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics, 1992 Winter Olympics and 1994 Winter Olympics. After a motorcycle accident, he also competed as paralympic hockey player and wheelchair curler. Short track career Fagone competed in the first short track speed skating events at the 1988 Winter Olympics when this sport was a demonstration sport. He finished third in the 1500 metres and as a member of the Italian relay team, he finished second in the 5000 metre relay. Orazio Costante Grossoni
Orazio Costante Grossoni (Milan, 1867–1952) was an Italian sculptor. Biography Grossoni studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan with Raffaele Casnedi and Ambrogio Borghi and worked in the studio of the sculptor Ernesto Bazzaro. He exhibited portraits and genre works at the first three editions of the Milan Triennale, winning the Fumagalli Prize in 1894. He also took part in the major events at the national and international level, including the Turin (1898) and Milan (1906) exhibitions as well as the Universal Exhibition of 1900 in Paris, where he was awarded a silver medal. The funerary sculpture for which he became known and esteemed in the early years of the 20th century includes the Bocconi (1901–14) and Sacchetti (1921) tombs and the Antonio Ascari monument (1928) in the Cimitero Monumentale in Milan. Orazio Attanasio (born 31 October 1959, in Naples) is an Italian economist and the Cowles Professor of Economics at Yale University. He was the Jeremy Bentham Chair of Economics at University College London. He graduated from the University of Bologna in 1982 and London School of Economics in 1988.
