Orange Community Radio
FM107.5 - The Local Station (callsign:2OCB) is a community radio station that broadcasts to the city of Orange, New South Wales, Australia and surrounding districts on the frequency 107.5 MHz. The organisation is Orange Community Broadcasters Incorporated. It is one of three community radio stations in the area alongside 2MCE and Rhema FM. History FM107.5 was originally known as Apple FM, and operated under a temporary community radio broadcasting licence in the 1980s and most of the 1990s. The current station gained its full community broadcasting licence in January 1998. The station survived an insolvency scare in 2001. Programming FM107.5 airs an eclectic mix of programming, including music, arts, Indigenous programming and programming in languages other than English. All locally produced programs are presented by volunteers, with some programming originating from the Community Radio Network (Australia). Rhema FM
Rhema FM is the name used for a number of Christian radio stations established with the help of, and assisted for many years by United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) in Australia. Each station is independent, being run and programmed locally with many having moved away from the Rhema name. UCB has also established the Vision Radio Network across Australia, which is entirely networked from UCB's Brisbane studios. The name and logo of "Rhema FM" was derived from one of UCB's affiliate networks in New Zealand that was then of the same name. See New Zealand's Rhema. UCB no longer recognises affiliations with other radio stations because it has given up its role as a co-ordinating body to focus on operating as a broadcaster in its own right. The Community Radio Network (CRN) in Australia is a satellite program feed available to subscribing community radio stations. It was created and is managed by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). The CRN does not produce the programs that are broadcast on the feed, but acts as a distributor of material supplied by member stations. Mount Canobolas
Mount Canobolas, a mountain on a spur of the Great Dividing Range, is located in the Central Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. With an elevation of above sea level, Mount Canobolas, an extinct volcano, is the highest mountain in the region. Situated southwest of the city of Orange, it is about west of Sydney. The northern slopes of the mountain, with fertile volcanic soil, is a popular cold-climate wine producing area.
