Prosenjit Chatterjee
Prosenjit Chatterjee (born 30 September 1962) is an Indian actor and producer. He is widely regarded as one of the leading actors in modern Bengali cinema. He predominantly works in Bengali cinema . He is the son of veteran Bollywood actor Biswajit Chatterjee. He began his acting career as a child actor in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's ''Chotto Jigyasa'', for which he won the Bengal Film Journalists' Association – Most Outstanding Work of the Year Award. Following this he appeared in other films as a child actor. His first leading role came through Bimal Roy's ''Duti Pata''. Debashree Roy
Debashree Roy (born 8 August 1962), also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. As an actress, she is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She has been cited as the reigning queen of Bengali commercial cinema. She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. Abhishek Chatterjee (30 April 1964 – 24 March 2022) was an Indian actor who was known for his work in Bengali cinema. Anup Kumar (অনুপ কুমার) (17 June 1930 – 3 September 1998) was an Indian actor who is known for his work in Bengali cinema. Early life Anup Kumar was born on 17 June 1930 in Calcutta, British India. His real name was Satyen Das. His parents were Dhirendra Nath Das who was a singer and actor and was closely associated with the famous poet and composer, Kazi Nazrul Islam 899-1976 and Bijoya Das. Chinmoy Roy (1940–2019) was an Indian Bengali male actor. He was famous for his comic roles in Bengali movies, though his versatility has allowed him to play a variety of roles. Though he was known for portraying various character roles, Roy was equally at ease in portraying the famous fictional character Tenida on screen. He held his own among prominent performers like Soumitra Chatterjee, Robi Ghose and Tarun Kumar in the comedies ''Basanto Bilap'', ''Dhonni Meye'', and ''Nanigopaler Biye''. He was also seen in a small role in Satyajit Ray's '' Goopy Gyne o Bagha Byne'', in which he portrayed a spy working for the Minister of Halla. Roy had to contend with chronic health problems. Samit Bhanja ( bn, শমিত ভঞ্জ; 2 January 1944 – 24 July 2003) was an Indian actor and director known for his work in the Bengali cinema. He joined Rupkar, the theatre group of Sabitabrata Dutta and enacted in several plays in early 1960s. He made his screen debut with Balai Sen's 1965 Bengali film ''Surer Agun''. He is remembered as the male lead, Navin, of the successful Hindi film '' Guddi'', opposite Jaya Bhaduri.
