Opytne, Yasynuvata Raion
Opytne ( uk, Опитне; russian: link=no, Опытное) is a village in Pokrovsk Raion (Raions of Ukraine, district) in Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine, at about Points of the compass#Compass point names, NW from the center of Donetsk city and at about north from the Donetsk International Airport, Donetsk airfield. History Starting mid-April 2014 2014 pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine, pro-Russian separatists 2014 insurgency in Donbass, captured several towns and cities across in Donetsk and Luhansk Districts; since 6 November 2014 Opytne was fully under Ukrainian control. The village became one of the frontlines of the War in Donbas (2014–2022), War in Donbass. On 24 November 2016 one Ukrainian serviceman was killed by a sniper in the village. The War in Donbas, russian: Война на Донбассе was an armed conflict in the Donbas region of Ukraine, part of the broader Russo-Ukrainian War. In March 2014, immediately following the Euromaidan protest movement and subsequent Revolution of Dignity, protests by pro-Russian, anti-government separatist groups arose in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine, collectively called the Donbas. 36th Marine Brigade

59th Motorized Brigade (Ukraine)
The 59th Motorized Brigade is a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. Avdiivka (, , is a city of regional significance in Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast. The city is in the center of the region, just north of the city of Donetsk. In early June 2023, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine launched a counteroffensive against Russian forces occupying its territory with a long-term goal of breaching the frontlines. The Sparta Battalion (russian: батальон «Спарта») is a Russian separatist military unit of the breakaway Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in eastern Ukraine.
