The history of the Opera (web browser), Opera web browser began in 1994 when it was started as a research project at Telenor, the largest Norwegian telecommunications company. Opera Mail
Opera Mail (formerly known as M2) is the email and news client developed by Opera Software. It was an integrated component within the Opera web browser from version 2 through 12. With the release of Opera 15 in 2013, Opera Mail became a separate product and is no longer bundled with Opera. Opera Mail version 1.0 is available for OS X and Windows. The Document Object Model (DOM) is a cross-platform and language-independent interface that treats an XML or HTML document as a tree structure wherein each node is an object representing a part of the document. The DOM represents a document with a logical tree. Each branch of the tree ends in a node, and each node contains objects. Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is a technical standard for accessing information over a mobile wireless network.
