''大開色界演唱會 Opening the Sexual Boundaries Concert CD'' is a live concert album by cantopop singer Prudence Liew, released on May 29, 2008. Concert details This recording was made during the concert series of the same name held at the Hong Kong Coliseum on April 19, & April 20, 2008. The concerts marked the first time Liew had a solo concert series at the venue and also her first official concert since she went on hiatus back in 1995. Release & formats Along with the live recordings during the concert, Liew recorded a special track as a thank you to her fans. The track is her signature song, " 最後一夜 The Last Night", but instead of the original dance track, it was recorded as a ballad with solely a piano accompaniment. The ballad version was originally sparked as an impromptu encore during the end of the concert on April 20 when Liew announced she had no more songs prepared, but opted to reprise one of her songs. Prudence Liew Mei-Gwan (born 10 December 1964) is a Hong Kong pop singer and actress. A Golden Horse Award winner and platinum selling singer, she has released 16 studio albums and appeared in numerous films. Career From the age of eight, she began appearing in television commercials after high school. In 1986, while working as a film producer, Liew was approached to sing the theme song for a movie. The song, ''Midnight Love'' was on heavy rotation at major Hong Kong radio stations and she was quickly signed as the flagship artist to Current Records. John Shum
John Sham Kin-Fun (born 1952) is a Hong Kong actor and film producer. His English name is sometimes written as John Shum. Whilst known primarily for his comedic acting roles in Hong Kong cinema, he also spent time as a political activist. Biography Shum was educated in Hong Kong, the UK and the US. Upon his return to Hong Kong, he co-founded "City Magazine" with John Chan, and worked as its editor. At the same time, he began working in television and radio. He was also a student activist in the 1970s back in his youth and was a member of a Trotskyist vanguard party the Revolutionary Marxist League. In 1983, he set up the film production company D&B Films, along with Sammo Hung and Dickson Poon. He later founded another film company with John Chan, Maverick Films Ltd. "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" is a 1967 song written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio. It was recorded as a single by Frankie Valli. Grasshopper (band)
Grasshopper is a Hong Kong Cantopop male group formed in 1985. The band consists of Edmond Chi-Wai So (Chinese： 蘇志威), Calvin Yat-Chi Choy (Chinese： 蔡一智) and Remus Yat-Kit Choy (Chinese： 蔡一傑). Career Calvin and Remus are brothers and grew up with neighbour Edmond in a poor neighbourhood in Hong Kong. It was Remus who was interested in dancing and singing at the beginning. His mother was his dancing teacher. In order to enter a talent competition, the 16-year-old Remus enlisted Calvin and Edmond as his back-up dancers. The act did not make it far in the competition but began to perform as a trio. They later named themselves Grasshopper inspired by their agility and favourite cocktail.
