Open Mind Productions is a British television production company founded on 1 June 1989 by Roland Tongue and Chris Ellis. Tongue, who retired from the company at the end of 2011, was previously a film editor at the BBC, while Ellis was previously a teacher and script writer at Children's BBC. Children's BBC
BBC Children's and Education is the BBC division responsible for media content for children in the UK. Since the launch of specially dedicated television channels in 2002, the services have been marketed under two brands. CBBC (short for Children's BBC or initialed for Children's British Broadcasting Corporation) is aimed at children aged between 6 and 12, and CBeebies offers content for younger viewers. Unlike CBeebies, the CBBC brand pre-dates the launch of these channels and before 2002, CBBC was also the brand name used for all of the BBC's children's programmes. CBBC broadcasts from 7:00am to 7:00pm (previously 7:00am to 9:00pm until 4 January 2022) and CBeebies broadcasts from 6:00am to 7:00pm, respectively timesharing with BBC Three for CBBC and BBC Four for CBeebies. Channel 4 is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network operated by the state-owned enterprise, state-owned Channel Four Television Corporation. Numberjacks
''Numberjacks'' is a British 3D animated children's television series, aimed particularly at children aged two to five, shown regularly on CBeebies and occasionally on BBC Two in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It was also formerly shown on Tiny Pop until the year 2018. It is produced by Open Mind Productions for the BBC and features a mixture of computer-generated animation and live action. 67 episodes were produced. The show focuses on mathematics. Premise ''Numberjacks'' are a group of anthropomorphic numbers: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. ''The Shiny Show'' is a British educational children's quiz show, broadcast in the United Kingdom by CBeebies, BBC One and BBC Two, that was produced by Open Mind Productions. It was aired in 2002 and 2003, and was aimed particularly at children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. Each show featured a quiz with six questions, based around different subjects, and featured four star characters: Tigs the Tiger, Mukka the Monkey, Dogsby the Dog and Alarmorama the machine. Characters Tigs Tigs is an orange tiger, who is often portrayed as confident and big-headed. She is still extremely lively and always gets the starring role in the short plays or poems the group act out in between rounds.
