Open Letter (Case Album)
''Open Letter'' is the third studio album by American R&B singer Case. It was released by Def Soul, the R&B division of Def Jam Recordings, on April 24, 2001 in the United States. The album peaked at number five on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was preceded by the Tim & Bob-produced single " Missing You", which earned Case a nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 44th Grammy Awards in 2002. ''Open Letter'' was Case's last album on Def Soul and Def Jam Recordings. Critical reception ''Vibe'' contributor David Thigpen gave note of the "earthier, more robust brand of R&B" that Case performs throughout the record, saying his songwriting resembles the "strong melodies and complex, rich arrangements" of R. Kevin Liles (born February 27, 1968) is an American record executive and co-founder and CEO of 300 Entertainment. In 2020, Kevin was recognized by Billboard Magazine as R&B/Hip-Hop Executive of the Year for both his efforts in activism and the continued success of Megan Thee Stallion. Audio Two was the Brooklyn, New York hip hop duo of emcee Kirk "Milk Dee" Robinson and DJ Nat "Gizmo" Robinson, most famous for its first hit "Top Billin'". History The duo's debut single, "Make it Funky", was released in 1987, but it was the B-side, "Top Billin, that became the chart hit. Larry "Jazz" Anthony
Dru Hill is an American R&B group, whose repertoire included soul, hip hop soul and gospel music. The group was founded in Baltimore in 1992 and is still active. Dru Hill recorded seven Top 40 hits, and is best known for the R&B number-one hits " In My Bed", "Never Make a Promise" and " How Deep Is Your Love". Montell Du'Sean Barnett Jordan (born December 3, 1968) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Eric Roberson (born September 27, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter, former rapper and music producer.
