''Songs from an Open Book'' is the debut solo acoustic album by Blue October frontman Justin Furstenfeld. It features songs as they were originally written, with only a Guild acoustic guitar and a single vocal track. The album was recorded at Crazy Making Studio in San Marcos, Texas, which is Justin's home studio (the spoken word tracks were recorded at live shows). Furstenfeld promoted the album with a nationwide U.S. tour, as well as dates in Germany and England. All of the songs have appeared on previous releases by Blue October and The Last Wish. The album was released September 2, 2014, and debuted at number sixteen on the iTunes Top albums Chart and at number two on the iTunes Rock albums chart, and reached number one on the Amazon.com rock chart. ''Collection Gold'' is a compilation album by Cock Robin, issued by the European branch of Sony Music in 1990. It contained 14 tracks, including several remixes and songs which were not available on Cock Robin's official studio albums. It was released on the CBS label, one of the last releases before CBS changed into Sony Music/Columbia. Its catalogue number is 467626 2. The album ''Collection Gold'' was released by the CBS Special Marketing label, as part of a French series of midprice compilation CDs from CBS artists. The midprice CD was issued in France in 1990, but the album was also available in other countries. ''TV Party'' was a public-access television cable TV show in New York City that ran from 1978 to 1982. History After Glenn O'Brien was a guest on the weekly variety television show, ''The Coca Crystal Show: If I Can’t Dance, You Can Keep Your Revolution,'' he went on to create his own show, ''TV Party''. Glenn O'Brien was the host of ''TV Party''; Chris Stein, the co-founder of the pop band Blondie, was the co-host; and Walter "Doc" Steding was the leader of the TV Party orchestra. Amos Poe was the director. Fab Five Freddy (Fred Brathwaite) was a sometime cameraman and guest. Bobby Grossman was the staff photographer. The Rakes
The Rakes were an English post-punk band formed in London in 2003. Their first album ''Capture/Release'' released in 2005, received a nine out of ten review in the ''NME'' and was rated 13th best album of the year in the same paper. The band cited in their influences the Specials, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Pulp. The band disbanded in October 2009, after six years. History The Rakes formed in 2002. Their debut album, ''Capture/Release'', spawned the singles "22 Grand Job", "Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep)", and "Retreat".
