Ria Oomen-Ruijten
Ria Oomen-Ruijten (born 6 September 1950 in Echt, Limburg) is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) who has been serving as a member of the Senate since 9 June 2015. Oomen is a former Member of the European Parliament. As an MEP, she was a member of the bureau of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) group, she was a member of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, and a substitute member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Previously, she was a member of the House of Representatives (June 1981 – September 1989). She dealt mainly with social affairs. From May 1985, she was chair of The Dutch Foundation for Consumer Complaints Boards (De Geschillencommissie). The Foundation deals with consumer complaints and complaints between enterprises. Sam Oomen (born 15 August 1995) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career He rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in the U23 category. In October 2015 it was announced that he would join from 2016 on an initial three-year contract. He was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España, where he was forced to leave with illness. 2018 He started the season by racing in the Tour Down Under, where he finished in 15th overall and was 24 seconds behind the winning time. Wilhelm Josef Oomens
Wilhelm Josef Oomens SJ (14 September 1918 – 27 June 2008) was a Dutch Jesuit and painter. Wilhelm Josef Oomens was born in The Hague, Netherlands. He studied mathematics, physics and psychology. In 1949, he entered the congregation of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and begun a study of philosophy and Catholic theology. In 1957 he was ordained as a priest. From then on he acted as teacher and director of a grammar school and was longstanding director of the centre of orientation and cultural studies in Limburg. Following heart surgery (1978), he was compelled to leave teaching, but continued as a priest in pastoral care in Sittard, Netherlands, near the border with Germany. He enjoyed the work, so he asked the Bishop of Aachen, Klaus Hemmerle, to assign him a rectorate. Snijders-Oomen Nonverbal Intelligence Test
The Snijders-Oomen nonverbal intelligence tests, shortly the SON-tests, are intelligence tests appropriate for children and adults from two and a half to forty years old. The tests are called nonverbal because they can be administered without having to use written or spoken language. The manuals also contain verbal instructions, but the spoken text does not contain extra information compared to the non-verbal instructions. The way the tests are administered is adjusted to the communicative abilities of the subject in order to create a natural test situation. The tests provide an intelligence score that indicates how someone performs in comparison with other persons from the same age. The Dutch DJs, Hugo Zentveld (a.k.a. DJ Renegade) and Aldwin Oomen, are behind a number of dance production projects, including Angel City, Boombastic, and Nightbreed. Angel City Angel City is a dance project by Zentveld and Oomen, led by British recording artist Lara McAllen. The majority of their songs are dance covers.
