İzmit () is a district and the central district of Kocaeli province, Turkey. It is located at the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of Marmara, about east of Istanbul, on the northwestern part of Anatolia. As of the last 31/12/2019 estimation, the city center had a population of 367,990. 2017 Presidential Tour Of Turkey
The 2017 Presidential Tour of Turkey was a road cycling stage race that took place in Turkey between 10 and 15 October 2017. It was the 53rd edition of the Presidential Tour of Turkey and was part of the 2017 UCI World Tour. It was the first time that the race was included in the UCI World Tour calendar. Originally, the race was scheduled to take place between 18–23 April, but was postponed in February. At the end of March, the race was confirmed to be held over 10–15 October. The race was won by Diego Ulissi of Italy. The Tour of Romania (or "Little Loop") is a cycling competition held in Romania. It is organised as 2.1 race on the UCI Europe Tour. History Inspired by Tour de France, the monthly publication "Car Magazine" held in August 1910 the first edition of "Circuit Wallachia". The competition took 12 riders at the start on the route Bucharest–Sinaia–Târgoviște–Butimanu–Bucharest (approximately ). The race lasted for three editions.
