Onorio Longhi
Onorio Longhi (1568–1619) was an Italian architect, the father of Martino Longhi the Younger and the son of Martino Longhi the Elder. Born in Viggiù, Lombardy, Longhi began as assistant for his father, and inherited the latter's commission at his death in 1591. He is described by contemporary sources as a ruthless figure, a companion of Caravaggio, together with whom he was tried for homicide in Rome in 1606, and subsequently exiled. Returning to Lombardy he executed several unfinished plans for the Duomo of Milan and other churches, until a Papal amnesty allowed him to come back to Rome in 1611. Here he designed the first plan for the Milanese national church in Rome, San Carlo al Corso, which was completed by his son and by Pietro da Cortona. Onorio Marinari
Onorio Marinari (1627 – January 5, 1715) was an Italian painter and printmaker of the Baroque period, active mainly in Florence. His father, Sigismondo di Pietro Marinari, was also a painter, and he trained with his cousin, Carlo Dolci, later being also influenced by Simone Pignoni and Francesco Furini. His fresco in the Palazzo Capponi, Florence, is dated 1707. He worked mainly in Florence for Florentine and Tuscan clients, but he did not devote himself only to painting. In fact, in 1674, he published an essay on astronomy entitled ''Fabbrica ed uso dell' Annulo Astronomico''. Onorio Razzolini
Onorio Razzolini (1699-1769) was an Italian immigrant to colonial Maryland. He is thought to be the first immigrant of Italian descent to hold public office in the North American colonies. He enjoyed the patronage of Charles Calvert, 5th Baron Baltimore, proprietary governor of the Province of Maryland, serving as tutor to his illegitimate son, Benedict Swingate Calvert. After enjoying a successful career in Maryland, including serving as Armourer and Keeper of the Stores of Maryland, Razzolini returned to his native town of Asolo, where he married and had three daughters. Biography Razzolini was born in Asolo, a town located north of Venice, in around 1689. Onorio Ruotolo
Onorio Ruotolo (1888–1966) was an Italian-American sculptor and poet, once known as the "Rodin of Little Italy." Biography Ruotolo was born in Cervinara, Italy. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and emigrated to the United States in 1908. The struggle and poverty he observed in New York City engendered a concern for society, which he expressed in cartoons, poetry, and sculpture. During World War I, Ruotolo produced a number of sculptures showing the horrors of war. In 1914, he and Arturo Giovannitti became co-directors of ''Il Fuoco'', a magazine of art and politics. After an ideological split, Ruotolo began ''Minosse'', a socio-literary publication. In 1923 Ruotolo founded the Leonardo da Vinci Art School on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
