Onkel Kånkel
Onkel Kånkel and his Kånkelbär ( en, (approx.) ”Uncle Dingle and his Dingleberries”), commonly referred to as just Onkel Kånkel, was a Swedish könsrock/ punk rock band known for lyrics with off-color humor, dealing with subjects such as disabled people, disorders and diseases, Nazism, homosexuality, pedophilia, and coprophilia, often with elements of toilet humor. Many songs reference Swedish TV and radio personalities. Onkel Kånkel is often considered to have created the könsrock genre. While well known for their shock value, Onkel Kånkel's music has never entered the mainstream, though the band managed to get the 46th placement on the Swedish top-50 chart in 1994. One of their albums, ''Kalle Anka Suger Pung'' ( en, Donald Duck Sucks Ballsack), briefly had some radio airplay, but was pulled off the air due to perceived inappropriate content. Johnny Bode
Johnny Bode (6 January 1912 in Falköping, Sweden – 25 July 1983 in Malmö, Sweden) was a Swedish singer, composer and '' enfant terrible''. After his debut at seventeen years old, Bode recorded hundreds of songs on the gramophone, many of them his own compositions. One of his best-known songs is "'' En herre i frack" (A Gentleman in Tailcoat''), which Gösta Ekman senior sang in 1936. The song later become popularized by famous Swedish singer Jan Malmsjö, who added it to his repertoire. The last gramophone record with Johnny Bode as a singer was recorded in 1942. Bode rebuilt his career several times across his life after numerous setbacks. Bode lived an extravagant lifestyle than he was able to afford, and was known to fail to pay his debts, and was blacklisted by several Stockholm restaurants. Union Carbide Productions
Union Carbide Productions was a Swedish rock band formed by Ebbot Lundberg (vocals), Patrik Caganis, Björn Olsson, Per Helm and Henrik Rylander in 1986. Their music can be described as a fusion of psychedelic rock and raw Stooges-esque rock 'n' roll—and a bit angrier than The Soundtrack of Our Lives (the band that emerged from the ashes of Union Carbide Productions). Though never really commercially successful, the band has received praise from artists like Kurt Cobain, R.E.M. and Sonic Youth. Hultsfred Festival
The Hultsfred Festival ( sv, Hultsfredsfestivalen) was an annual music festival held in Hultsfred, Sweden. It took place at the lake Hulingen during three days in the June or July, from Thursday to Saturday. Since the first festival in 1986, its attendance had increased from 7,500 visitors to approximately 32,000 people in 2005. With its five different stages, the Hultsfred Festival hosted many bands each year (154 in 2007) from all over Scandinavia and the world alike. Due to an increase of ticket pricing and what the public recognized as a poor lineup in 2007, festival attendance had been declining. The festival went bankrupt in 2010 and the whole event was cancelled that year, but it was resurrected already by 2011. Errol Leonard Norstedt (17 June 1948–17 January 2002), better known by his stage name Eddie Meduza, was a Swedish composer and musician working mainly in the rockabilly genre.
