Onisiforos Roushias
Onisiforos Roushias ( el, Ονησίφορος Ρουσιάς; born 15 July 1992) is a Cypriot professional footballer who plays as a striker for Cypriot Second Division club Ypsonas Krasava. Club career Enosis Neon Paralimni Born in Paralimni, he began playing football with other children his age for Enosis Neon Paralimni Academy. He was the best goal-scorer for Cyprus National Under 17 league, scoring 26 goals and winning the League with EN Paralimni U-17 team. Middlesbrough Roushias skills and achievements caused English side Middlesbrough to sign him on 1 January 2009. Roushias stayed there for 2.5 years making appearances for Middlesbrough Reserves and Middlesbrough Under 18 team. Paralimni
Paralimni ( el, Παραλίμνι) is a town within the Famagusta District of Cyprus, situated on the island's east coast. Since the Turkish invasion in 1974, it has increased in size and status, primarily due to the migration of refugees fleeing from the north. Many workers in the tourist sectors of Protaras and Ayia Napa live in Paralimni, which is now the temporary administrative centre of the Famagusta District and the biggest municipality of the district under the control of the internationally recognised Republic of Cyprus. Cypriot Super Cup
The Cypriot Super Cup is a Cypriot football trophy, contested in an annual match between the previous season's Cypriot First Division champions, and the Cypriot Cup winners. The match is contested at the beginning of the football season, and is usually played at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia. The most successful team in the competition are Omonia, who have won the trophy on 17 occasions. The current holders are Apollon Limassol, who defeated Omonia 2–0 in the 2022 match. History The first match was played in 1951, under the name Pakkos Shield (Greek: Ασπίδα Πάκκου). The trophy was not awarded to the winner of the match, but would instead be awarded to the overall most successful team in the competition, after 10 matches.
