Oneida Dispatch
The Oneida Dispatch originated as an independent printed newspaper. It is now part of a large newsgroup that includes newspapers in Michigan. New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The paper's print frequency has been reduced, and it has added an online news website, often referred to as the ''Oneida Daily Dispatch''. The paper's coverage goes beyond local and regional stories to include national and international news. History The newspaper was founded in 1863 as the ''Oneida Weekly Dispatch'', becoming a daily named ''Oneida Dispatch'' shortly thereafter. In 1926 it began publishing under the name ''Oneida Daily Dispatch'', although it did not print a Sunday edition. New Haven Register
The ''New Haven Register'' is a daily newspaper published in New Haven, Connecticut. It is owned by Hearst Communications. The Register's main office is located at 100 Gando Drive in New Haven. The ''Register'' was established about 1812 and is one of the oldest continuously published newspapers in the U.S. In the early 20th century it was bought by John Day Jackson. The Jackson family owned the ''Register,'' published weekday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings, and ''The Journal-Courier'', a morning weekday paper, until they were combined in 1987 into a seven-day morning ''Register.'' The Register covers 19 towns and cities within New Haven and Middlesex counties, including New Haven. The ''Daily Freeman'' is a seven-day-a-week morning newspaper in Kingston, New York, the Ulster County seat. Serving all of Ulster County and adjacent parts of three other counties in the mid-Hudson Valley—Greene, Columbia and Dutchess counties. The broadsheet publication was founded in 1871 as the ''Rondout Daily Freeman'' and was located in Downtown Kingston on the Rondout–West Strand Historic District. The ''Times Union'' is an American daily newspaper, serving the Capital Region of New York. Although the newspaper focuses on Albany and its suburbs, it covers all parts of the four-county area, including the cities of Troy, Schenectady and Saratoga Springs.
