One World (Uniting Nations Album)
''One World'' is the debut studio album by UK-based dance group Uniting Nations. It was released on November 14, 2005 under Gusto Records. Prior to the release of the album on November 14, 2005, Uniting Nations had seen chart success with two consecutive singles, the debut "Out of Touch" (a Hall & Oates cover song) and the follow-up " You and Me" that both reached respectively #7 and #15 on the UK charts. The third single taken off the album, "Ai No Corrida", that came with the release of the album itself, featured the vocal talents of Laura More (of Eric Prydz' " Call on Me" fame) and peaked at #18 in the charts. Uniting Nations
Uniting Nations are a British dance music act formed in Liverpool in 2004. They achieved chart success across Europe. The act was originally made up of Paul Keenan and Daz Sampson as band members, songwriters and producers. After their 2005 hit "Out of Touch", which was the debut and most successful single of the band, Craig Powell joined in as frontman of the band. A number of songs on the Uniting Nations' debut and only album '' One World'', released in 2005 on Gut Records, were also performed by vocalist and session artist Jinian Wilde. The band had chart success with two initial UK hits, "Out of Touch" and " You and Me". Call On Me (Eric Prydz Song)
"Call on Me" is a song co-written and produced by Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz. The song is based on a sample of Steve Winwood's 1982 song "Valerie" from the album ''Talking Back to the Night''. "Call on Me" received significant sales success and topped several record charts. The song is known for its music video, which features several women (including Deanne Berry as the dance instructor) and a man performing aerobics in a sexually suggestive manner. John Oates
John William Oates (born April 7, 1948) is an American musician, best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, with Daryl Hall. He has played rock, R&B, and soul music, acting as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Although Oates' main role in the duo is being the guitarist, he also co-wrote many of the top 10 songs that they recorded, including: "Sara Smile" (referring to Hall's then-girlfriend, Sara Allen), " She's Gone", and "Out of Touch", as well as "You Make My Dreams", "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", " Maneater", and "Adult Education". Kenny Young (born Shalom Giskan, April 14, 1941 – April 14, 2020) was an American songwriter, musician, producer and environmental campaigner who wrote and in some cases produced hit songs for The Drifters, Ronnie Dove, Herman's Hermits, Mark Lindsay, Reparata and the Delrons, Clodagh Rodgers, Quincy Jones, and Fox, among others. Chaz Jankel
Charles Jeremy "Chaz" Jankel (born 16 April 1952) is an English musician. In a music career spanning more than 40 years, he came to prominence in the late 1970s as the guitarist and keyboardist of the rock band Ian Dury and the Blockheads. With Dury, Jankel co-wrote some of the band's best-known songs including "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll", "Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick" and " Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3". Craig Powell (born 30 December 1984) is a British artist and former front man of the British dance act Uniting Nations. After leaving the musical band in March 2006, he has had top 20 chart success all over Europe, including United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and France. Jinian Wilde, sometimes Jin Wilde and Wilde!, is an English singer, songwriter, studio vocalist, vocal instructor and musician who has worked with a number of musical projects and with UK's Paris Music.
