One Step (2016, Korean Movie)
''One Step'' (Hangul: 원스텝; Revised Romanization of Korean, RR: Wonseuteb) is a 2017 South Korean musical film, musical drama film directed by Juhn Jai-hong and starring Sandara Park, Han Jae-suk, Cho Dong-in and Hong Ah-reum. Its production was inspired by the domestic Korean success of the American film, ''Begin Again (film), Begin Again''. Plot After being involved in a car accident, Si-hyun (Sandara Park) is left with no memories of the accident or her past. The accident causes her to see sounds in color which is often disorientating, forcing Si-hyun to protect her ears. She encounters Ji-won (Hong Ah-reum) in the hospital and moves in with her when she is later discharged. Upon hearing Si-hyun humming a strange melody in her sleep, Ji-won's brother, Woo-hyuk (Cho Dong-in), writes it down as a score and gives it to her, hoping that it would help her remember something of her former life. Juhn Jai-hong
Juhn Jai-hong (; born 1977) is a South Korean film director. He directed ''Beautiful'' (2008) and ''Poongsan'' (2011). Career Early life Juhn Jai-hong was born in Seoul, and began receiving vocal lessons in the third grade. He moved to the United States at the age of 15 and after graduating from the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, he continued studying the art of singing in Vienna, Austria. Juhn said, "I pursued the path of an opera singer for more than 20 years. I had completed my studies, but felt that classical music limited my expression. I also studied drawing as well, and I felt that cinema was the perfect way to express all these things together." He then studied business management at Webster University Vienna, because he thought it was related to directing, "A director must lead the entire project and all of his cast and crew — it's all about management."
