One Night In Time
''One Night in Time'' is an unofficial release of studio recordings from Scottish singer-songwriter Donovan. His 18th studio album, it was distributed through the fanzine ''Donovan's Friends'' in 1993 on cassette tape. History After his 1984 album ''Lady of the Stars'' failed to meet success in both the US and UK, Donovan temporarily retired from recording studio albums. In 1990, Donovan's 1960's albums were reissued on CD for the first time. His 1990 live album ''Rising'' and the 1992 Epic Records boxed set '' Troubadour: The Definitive Collection 1964-1976'' were also bringing Donovan's music back into record stores. Although this renewed interest in Donovan's music grew over the next few years, in 1993 he was still without a record label in the US or UK. The album was only released on cassette tape. Donovan Phillips Leitch (born 10 May 1946), known mononymously as Donovan, is a Scottish musician, songwriter, and record producer. He developed an eclectic and distinctive style that blended folk, jazz, pop, psychedelic rock and world music (notably calypso). He has lived in Scotland, Hertfordshire (England), London, California, and—since at least 2008—in County Cork, Ireland, with his family. Emerging from the British folk scene, Donovan reached fame in the United Kingdom in early 1965 with live performances on the pop TV series ''Ready Steady Go!''. ''Rising'' is the third live album, and twentieth album overall, from British singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released on Permanent Records in 1990 (LP and CD). The live versions of Donovan's hits guaranteed that ''Rising'' would receive a release in both the United States and United Kingdom. ''Rising'' was retitled ''The Classics Live'' in the United States, ''25 Years in Concert'' in Europe and ''Atlantis'' in the UK for marketing reasons. Since the release of ''Rising'', there have been many reissues of the songs from the album under many different titles. ''Rising'' was supposedly recorded sporadically from 1982 through 1986 at various live concerts during different world tours. ''Sutras'' is the nineteenth studio album (22nd overall) by Scotland, Scottish singer/songwriter Donovan. It was released in the UK (American Recordings (US), American Recordings 74321 39743 2) and the US (American Recordings 43705) on 14 October 1996. The US version does not contain the final track, "The Garden". ''Lady of the Stars'' is the seventeenth studio album, and nineteenth album overall, by the Scottish singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released in the UK (RCA PL 70060) i1983and the US (Allegiance Records AV 437) iJanuary 1984 History By 1983, Donovan's albums were receiving little distribution in the UK and none in the US. His popularity had steadily decreased through the 1970s and early 1980s and mainstream record companies were not convinced that Donovan's albums could generate enough record sales to warrant release. Donovan decided that to win over the record companies and reach his American and British fans, he would record new versions of both " Sunshine Superman" and " Season of the Witch" for inclusion on his next album. Warwick ( ) is a market town, civil parish and the county town of Warwickshire in the Warwick District in England, adjacent to the River Avon. It is south of Coventry, and south-east of Birmingham.
