Roger Chapman
Roger Maxwell Chapman (born 8 April 1942 in Leicester), also known as Chappo, is an English rock vocalist. He is best known as a member of the progressive rock band Family, which he joined along with Charlie Whitney, in 1966 and also the rock, R&B band Streetwalkers formed in 1974. His idiosyncratic brand of showmanship when performing and vocal vibrato led him to become a cult figure on the British rock scene. Chapman is claimed to have said that he was trying to sing like both Little Richard and his idol Ray Charles. Since the early 1980s he has spent much of his time in Germany and has made occasional appearances there and elsewhere. In Germany, he was awarded an ''Artist of the Year'' award during the 1980s, followed by a ''Lifetime Achievement Award'' in 2004. Ian Gibbons (musician)
Ian Gibbons (18 July 1952 – 1 August 2019) was an English keyboardist, most notable for playing with The Kinks. Gibbons began playing the accordion at the age of nine, playing in the school band, and solo at music festivals, competitions and charity events. At the age of 14, he started a school rock band, playing guitar and singing. He changed to organ after leaving school and played in local and resident bands until 1972, when he joined Moonstone, which released three singles. Gibbons also worked with Love Affair, The Nashville Teens and various cover bands whilst recording another album for English Assassin, which was shelved. Punk and new wave came along and Gibbons worked with rock based and new wave bands until an audition for The Kinks in 1979. Bobby Tench
Robert Tench (born 21 September 1944) is a British vocalist, guitarist, sideman, songwriter and arranger. Tench is best known for his work with Freddie King and Van Morrison, as well as being a member of The Jeff Beck Group, Humble Pie, Streetwalkers and Van Morrison band. He is also associated with Hummingbird and Gass, as a founding member. At the start of his career he performed and recorded with The Gass and also appeared with Gonzalez, before joining the Jeff Beck Group. He recorded with Ginger Baker before touring with Beck, Bogert & Appice as vocalist and recording sessions with Linda Lewis. Associations with Wailer Junior Marvin and the blues, rock guitarist Freddie King followed. Roger Cotton
Roger Allen Cotton (1946 – 1 June 2016) was an English musician, singer, songwriter, producer and engineer. He played keyboards and guitar. Cotton first played in his father's band at the age of 13. He was a member of Peter Green's Splinter Group, The Clockwork Orange, The Bandwagon, and The Brothers Grim where he met longtime collaborator Alan Glen. At the time of his death, Cotton was the keyboard player in the Buddy Whittington Band. Biography Cotton was born in Bromley, London, England. The harmonica, also known as a French harp or mouth organ, is a free reed wind instrument used worldwide in many musical genres, notably in blues, American folk music, classical music, jazz, country, and rock. Max Middleton
David Maxwell Middleton (born 4 August 1946) is an English composer and keyboardist who was originally a docker on the London docks. Middleton is known for his work on the Fender Rhodes Electric piano, the Minimoog synthesiser and his percussive playing style of the Hohner Clavinet. He started his professional music career by playing keyboards for Jeff Beck and is best known for his work on Beck's '' Blow by Blow''. He was the pianist on some pieces on the first album by TRUST, "préfabriqué". The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Tim Harries
Tim Harries (born 1959) is a British bass player, who has played with various folk rock and jazz bands in his career. Biography Harries studied music at the University of York, graduating in 1981 before going on to study double bass with Tom Martin at the Guildhall School of Music. He was a member of Bill Bruford's Earthworks from 1989 to 1993, during his time with Bruford he performed with a band billed as Yes on TV program Kathy Lee and Regis, the musicians, consisting of Steve Howe (guitar, vocals), Bill Bruford (drums) and Harries (bass, backing vocals), performed the first two verses and chorus of Roundabout, this performance was later described as a "car-crash" by Loudersound in 2022. Henry Spinetti
Enrico Antonio Giorgio Spinetti (born 31 March 1951) is a Welsh session musician, session drummer whose playing has featured on many prominent rock and pop albums. Career Spinetti was born in Cwm, Blaenau Gwent, Cwm, near Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire (historic), Monmouthshire, Wales. His first band, aged about 12 or 13, was The Toby Four (named after Charrington Brewery, Toby beer), which rehearsed in the Ambray Hotel and played songs by The Shadows, amongst others. He then joined another group called The Choice from Tredegar, with a guitarist influenced by Jimi Hendrix.
