One Minute Science
''One Minute Science'' is the debut studio album from the British industrial rock band Sunna. The Album was released on 15 August 2000 in the United States on the Astralwerks label and on 6 November 2000 in the United Kingdom on the Melankolic label. Three singles were released for the album "O.D." "Power Struggle" and " I'm Not Trading". Track listing All songs written and composed by Jon Harris and Ian MacLaren. Release and reception "One Minute Science" had mixed reviews. Allmusic gave it 2.5 out 5 evaluating the voice of Jon Harris. Exclaim! magazine described the album as the best and most powerful of the 21 century. Sunna (band)
Sunna are a hard rock and industrial rock band from Bristol, England. They released their third album, '' After the Third Pin'' on 3 October 2011. History The band toured with VAST and A Perfect Circle in 2000, as well as The Smashing Pumpkins on their final European tour. They released their debut album '' One Minute Science'' on Massive Attack's Melankolic label that year, along with the singles " O.D" and "Power Struggle". The latter single appeared in the movie ''Hollow Man''. The third single from ''One Minute Science'', " I'm Not Trading", was released in early 2001. Richie Mills, their drummer, left the band in spring of 2001; he would have been replaced by Mark Richardson of Skunk Anansie, but Richardson joined Feeder instead following the death of that band's drummer Jon Lee. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. It has since expanded and covers all kinds of music, including pop. Pitchfork was sold to Condé Nast in 2015, although Schreiber remained its editor-in-chief until he left the website in 2019. Astralwerks is an American record label primarily focused on electronic music owned by Universal Music Group. Its material is distributed via Capitol Music Group in the United States. The label was founded in 1993 and, in its early years, featured prominent British acts like The Future Sound of London, Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers. ''Kerrang!'' is a British weekly magazine devoted to rock, punk and heavy metal music, currently published by Wasted Talent (the same company that owns electronic music publication ''Mixmag''). It was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the ''Sounds'' newspaper. Massive Attack are an English trip hop collective formed in 1988 in Bristol by Robert "3D" Del Naja, Adrian "Tricky" Thaws, Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles and Grant "Daddy G" Marshall. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Cromagnon, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal.
