One Crazy Summer
''One Crazy Summer'' is a 1986 American romantic comedy film written and directed by Savage Steve Holland, and starring John Cusack, Demi Moore, Bobcat Goldthwait, Curtis Armstrong and Joel Murray. The original film score was composed by Cory Lerios. Plot Hoops McCann, a recent high school graduate, fails to get a basketball scholarship, disappointing his parents. He hopes to be admitted to the Rhode Island School of Design, and must write and illustrate a love story for his application. He joins his friends, siblings George and Squid Calamari, to spend the summer on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. En route, they pick up a young rock singer named Cassandra Eldridge, who is pursued by a motorcycle gang at the time. Savage Steve Holland
Savage Steve Holland (born April 29, 1958) is an American writer, cartoonist, producer, voice actor, animator, and film director who wrote and directed the films '' Better Off Dead'' (1985) and '' One Crazy Summer'' (1986), starring John Cusack. He also directed the film ''How I Got into College'' (1989), and animated the "Whammy" on the game show '' Press Your Luck''. He later went on to create and produce '' Eek! the Cat'' and ''The Terrible Thunderlizards'' for Fox Kids. He now manages his own studio, Savage Studios Ltd., and directs shows for Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. William Hickey (actor)
William Edward Hickey (September 19, 1927 – June 29, 1997) was an American actor. He is best known for his Academy Award-nominated role as Don Corrado Prizzi in the John Huston film ''Prizzi's Honor'' (1985), as well as Uncle Lewis in ''National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation'' (1989) and the voice of Dr. Finklestein in Tim Burton's ''The Nightmare Before Christmas'' (1993). Billie Bird Sellen (February 28, 1908 – November 27, 2002), better known professionally as Billie Bird, was an American actress and comedian. She played Margie in '' Dear John'' (1988–1992). Early life Born in Pocatello, Idaho, Bird was discovered at the age of eight while living at an orphanage.
