One Bad Thing
"One Bad Thing" is a song written by Barry Gibb in 1969 with Maurice Gibb. It was recorded by Barry Gibb for his unreleased debut solo LP '' The Kid's No Good''. The song was originally credited to Barry and Maurice, but the other versions have been credited to Barry alone. Recording "One Bad Thing" was recorded by Barry on 23 March 1970 for his first album '' The Kid's No Good'', on the same day as another song, "Happiness". The album was not released. He proposed "One Bad Thing" would be the second single from the album (after "I'll Kiss Your Memory") with its B-side "The Day Your Eyes Meet Mine". Polydor planned to release the song as a single on 2 October 1970, and Atco Records pressed some copies, which were distributed to radio stations in Canada and elsewhere, but it was discontinued in favour of "Lonely Days", a new Bee Gees release. Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb (born 1 September 1946) is a British musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He rose to worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. The Freshmen (band)
The Freshmen were among the most popular Irish showbands of the 1960s and 1970s. They specialised in recreating the complex vocal harmonies of international acts such as The Beach Boys and The 5th Dimension. They had nine top 20 hit singles in Ireland, including a reworking of The Rivingtons' song "Papa Oom Mow Mow", featuring the deep voice of lead singer, Derek Dean. Formation The Freshmen were formed in 1962 in Larne, Co. Antrim in Northern Ireland. The initial line-up changed over the nearly two decades of the band's existence as members came and went. Maurice Ernest Gibb (; 22 December 1949 – 12 January 2003) was a British musician. He achieved fame as a member of the pop group Bee Gees. Although his elder brother Barry Gibb and fraternal twin brother Robin Gibb were the group's main lead singers, most of their albums included at least one or two songs featuring Maurice's lead vocals, including " Lay It on Me", "Country Woman" and " On Time". The Bee Gees were one of the most successful pop-rock groups of all time. Gibb started his music career in 1955 in Manchester, England at the age of six joining the skiffle-rock and roll group the Rattlesnakes, which later evolved into the Bee Gees in 1958 after spending three years in Manchester when they moved to Australia.
