Onda Verde (radio Program)
''Onda Verde'' ("Green Wave") is the name given to the radio traffic reports produced by the Centro di Coordinamento Informazioni sulla Sicurezza Stradale (''Road Safety Information Co-ordinating Centre'') in Italy and transmitted by the Italian national broadcaster RAI The popular music that introduced this show was created by Clay Remini from the studio ZERODIBI in Milan. The reports, which go out hourly on each of RAI's main radio channels, supply information on the flow of traffic on the country's main roads and motorways. Traffic Reporting
Traffic reporting is the near real-time distribution of information about road conditions such as traffic congestion, detours, and traffic collisions. The reports help drivers anticipate and avoid traffic problems. Traffic reports, especially in cities, may also report on major delays to mass transit that does not necessarily involve roads. RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana (; commercially styled as Rai since 2000; known until 1954 as Radio Audizioni Italiane) is the national public broadcasting company of Italy, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
