On-the-record
In journalism, a source is a person, publication, or knowledge other record or document that gives timely information. Outside journalism, sources are sometimes known as "news sources". Examples of sources include but are not limited to official records, publications or broadcasts, officials in government or business, organizations or corporations, witnesses of crime, accidents or other events, and people involved with or affected by a news event or issue. According to Shoemaker (1996) and McQuail (1994), there are a multitude of factors that tend to condition the acceptance of sources as bona fide by investigative journalists. Reporters are expected to develop and cultivate sources, especially if they regularly cover a specific topic, known as a " beat". Beat reporters must, however, be cautious of becoming too close to their sources. Reporters often, but not always, give greater leeway to sources with little experience. For example, sometimes a person will say they don't wa ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

On The Record (American TV Program)
''On the Record'' was an American news television program on Fox News hosted by the lawyer Greta Van Susteren. Prior to the show's cancellation after the 2016 election, the show was hosted by the television journalist and political commentator, Brit Hume, following Van Susteren's departure from Fox News on September 6, 2016. The show was named ''On the Record with Greta Van Susteren'' and ''On the Record with Brit Hume'' during each host's respective runs. The program featured news stories of the day, following the latest information from correspondents on location and officials related to the issue. On The Record With Bob Costas
''On the Record with Bob Costas'' was an American monthly sports television talk show hosted by the sportscaster Bob Costas. The show ran for four 12-week seasons on HBO from 2001 to 2004 before being revamped into ''Costas Now''. ''On the Record with Bob Costas'' was, in a sense, similar to Costas' previous late night talk show, ''Later (talk show), Later'', which Costas hosted on NBC from 1988 to 1994. Both programs featured one-on-one interviews with guests from the sports and show business. In 2021, HBO announced a revival of the show, now titled ''Back on the Record with Bob Costas'' – presumably retitled to minimize confusion with the unrelated 2020 HBO Max documentary ''On the Record (film), On the Record'' – which premiered on July 30, 2021, and air up to four times per year. In December 2022, HBO confirmed that the show was canceled after two seasons. See also * ''Football Night in America'' * ''Costas on the Radio'' * ''Later (talk show), Later with Bob Costas'' Ref ... ''On the Record'' (sometimes referred to as ''Disney's On the Record'') is a jukebox musical revue featuring many classic songs from a variety of live action and animated films and television series produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Broadway musical plays produced by Walt Disney Theatrical, and even Disneyland attractions. This theatrical celebration of 75 years of Disney music tells the story of four singers recording a greatest hits album in a magical recording studio. After opening in Cleveland in 2004, the production toured for nine months, visiting 24 cities in the United States before closing in Denver in mid-2005. Production development history Following the successful stage productions of '' Beauty and the Beast'', '' The Lion King'', and '' Aida'', Walt Disney Theatrical began to brainstorm a way to showcase Disney's wide catalogue of songs without the use of a movie screen to present them. The result was ''When You Wish'', a new revue that, though intend ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
