On The Nose (film)
''On the Nose'' is an Irish/Canadian comedy/ fantasy film released in 2001. It was written by Tony Philpott and stars Dan Aykroyd and Robbie Coltrane in a magical comedy where a long dead Australian aboriginal's head is used to predict winners in horse races. The movie was filmed in Dublin, Ireland. On the Nose won the Audience Award in 2002 at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Summary Robbie Coltrane plays a rehabilitated gambler who is tested beyond all limits when a head stored in the university turns out to accurately predict race horse winners. Robbie Coltrane finds he must hold off a representative from the university of Australia, who has come to reclaim the head and take it back to Australia, and the mob in order to raise money for his daughters tuition. June Rodgers
June Rodgers (born 24 June 1959) is an Irish comedian, singer and actor. Much of her repertoire consists of multiple character skits, mainly focusing on working-class Dublin themes, including the characters of 'Jacinta O'Brien' and 'Oliver Bond' (named after the Oliver Bond flats). Sir Peter O'Sullevan (3 March 1918 – 29 July 2015) was an Irish-British horse racing commentator for the BBC, and a correspondent for the Press Association, the ''Daily Express'', and ''Today''. Laurence Kinlan (born 3 February 1983) is an Irish actor in films, television series and on theatre stage. He is best known for playing the role of Elmo in RTÉ's crime drama '' Love/Hate''. Career Film and television Kinlan's debut was a lead role, his film debut at age 14 as David in ''Soft Sand, Blue Sea'' directed by Pip Broughton.
