''On the Mouth'' is the third studio album by American indie rock band Superchunk. The album was recorded September 14–20, 1992, at West Beach Studios, engineered by Donnell Cameron, and produced by John Reis and Superchunk. It was released by Matador Records in 1993. ''On the Mouth'' marked the debut of drummer Jon Wurster, who replaced Chuck "Chunk" Garrison. The band also has a song called "On the Mouth," but it is not on this album. It first appeared as b-side for the single version of "Mower." American alternative rock band Jimmy Eat World covered "Precision Auto" for its 2010 album '' Invented''. Scharpling and Wurster are a long-form radio comedy duo composed of Tom Scharpling and Jon Wurster. Scharpling was a writer/producer for the USA network program ''Monk''. Thomas John Giuliano II (born February 9, 1969), known professionally as Tom Scharpling, is an American comedian, television writer, producer, music video director, voice actor, and radio host. Fucked Up is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 2001. ''Invented'' is the seventh studio album by American rock band Jimmy Eat World. Following the release of ''Chase This Light'' (2007), frontman Jim Adkins began a writing exercise that involved writing about photographs, which would serve as the lyrical basis for their next album. Recorded primarily at the band's home-based studio, the sessions were co-produced by Mark Trombino. Described as a power pop album, it featured guest vocals from Courtney Marie Andrews and Rachel Haden. Several of the songs earned comparisons to Foo Fighters, the Offspring, and Rites of Spring, among others. Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. Jonathan Patrick Wurster (born October 31, 1966) is an American drummer and comedy writer. As a musician, he is best known for his work with Superchunk, the Mountain Goats, and Bob Mould. He is also known for appearing on '' The Best Show'' with Tom Scharpling. Wurster has recorded and performed live with Jay Farrar, Ben Gibbard, Robert Pollard, Katy Perry, The New Pornographers, Rocket from the Crypt, Alejandro Escovedo, and R.E.M. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
