On Stage (EP)
''On Stage'' is a live recording of four songs performed on Kate Bush's Tour of Life in 1979. It was released on 31 August 1979 and peaked at number 10 on the UK chart. Background ''On Stage'' was recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon on 13 May 1979. It became Bush's first official (non- bootlegged) live performance on vinyl. The EP was the only audio (non-bootleg) recording of Kate Bush live for years, until 1994 when 60 minutes of the concert was released on Audio CD. Although the recordings are purportedly all from the same date, the four tracks on this EP are quite different from those of the later release. The record was released on 12" vinyl and cassette in many countries, while in the UK EMI EMI Group Limited (originally an initialism for Electric and Musical Industries, also referred to as EMI Records Ltd. or simply EMI) was a British Transnational corporation, transnational Conglomerate (company), conglomerate founded in March 1 ... chose to initially releas ...

Bootleg Recording
A bootleg recording is an audio or video recording of a performance not officially released by the artist or under other legal authority. Making and distributing such recordings is known as ''bootlegging''. Recordings may be copied and traded among fans without financial exchange, but some bootleggers have sold recordings for profit, sometimes by adding professional-quality sound engineering and packaging to the raw material. Bootlegs usually consist of unreleased studio recordings, live performances or interviews without the quality control of official releases. The practice of releasing unauthorised performances had been established before the 20th century, but reached new popularity with Bob Dylan's ''Great White Wonder'', a compilation of studio outtakes and demos released in 1969 using low-priority pressing plants. The following year, the Rolling Stones' ''Live'r Than You'll Ever Be'', an audience recording of a late 1969 show, received a positive review in ''Rolling Ston ...

Albums Recorded At The Hammersmith Apollo
An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as digital distribution. Albums of recorded sound were developed in the early 20th century as individual 78 rpm records collected in a bound book resembling a photograph album; this format evolved after 1948 into single vinyl long-playing (LP) records played at  rpm. The album was the dominant form of recorded music expression and consumption from the mid-1960s to the early 21st century, a period known as the album era. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though album sales in the 21st-century have mostly focused on CD and MP3 formats. The 8-track tape was the first tape format widely used alongside vinyl from 1965 until being phased out by 1983 and was gradually supplanted by the cassette tape during the 1970s and early 1980s; the popularity of the cassette reached its peak during the late 1980s, sharply declined during the 1990s and had largely disappeared dur ...

Them Heavy People
"Them Heavy People" is a song written and recorded by Kate Bush, from her debut album ''The Kick Inside''. It was issued as a single in Japan only with the title "Rolling the Ball" reaching number 3, its only release worldwide as an A-side. The song is about religion, and the teachings of Jesus and Gurdjieff, among others. The song expresses an insistent desire to learn as much as possible, while she is still young. A Seiko logo appears on the insert's back side, which makes it Bush's only commercial release featuring any kind of product endorsement. Bush also appeared in TV commercials and print ads for the brand in Japan. A live recording of this song was the lead track on the '' On Stage'' EP which reached number 10 in the UK Singles Chart in 1979. In the Netherlands, the EP was listed as ''Them Heavy People'' in the Top 40 chart, making it basically an A-side. It peaked at number 17 in 1979. Bush performed "Them Heavy People" on several TV programmes including her only a ...

History The predecessor of the Single Top 100 started on 23 May 1969 as the ''Hilversum 3 Top 30''. Originally it was broadcast by the VPRO and ever since December 1970 by the NOS. It was presented by Willem van Kooten. In 1971 Felix Meurders hosted the radio show. He renamed it the ''Daverende Dertig''.
