250px, On Nut Road view toward Sukhumvit Road On Nut Road ( th, ถนนอ่อนนุช, ) is a '' soi'' (alley)-formed road in Bangkok. It is a separate section of Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) known as Soi Sukhumvit 77 (ซอยสุขุมวิท 77) and also the name of the same neighbourhood that it crosses over. It is a road parallel to Khlong Phra Khanong and Khlong Prawet Burirom, separated itself from Sukhumvit Road at the On Nut Junction about north of On Nut BTS Station in the area of Phra Khanong Nuea Subdistrict, Watthana District, to the northeast crossing Khlong Bang Nang Chin along with into On Nut Subdistrict, Suan Luang District, up till reaching Soi On Nut 7 (Wat Mahabut), it bends to the southeast, then continued to the east and northeast. It intersect with Srinakarin Road (Highway 3344) at Suan Luang (Si Nut) Junction to the same direction, then crossing Khlong Nong Bon into Prawet District. Prawet District
Prawet ( th, ประเวศ, ) is one of the 50 districts of Bangkok, Thailand. It is in the southeast. Neighboring districts are (from the east clockwise) Bang Phli ( Samut Prakan province), Bang Na, Phra Khanong, Suan Luang, Bang Kapi, Saphan Sung and Lat Krabang (Bangkok). History Prawet was once part of Phra Khanong District. Prawet was elevated to become a separate district in 1989. Part of Prawet, especially the Suan Luang Sub-district, was carved out to establish Suan Luang District on 14 January 1994. Its name after Khlong Prawet Burirom, a canal that flows through the northern area. In October 2005 the plan to create the special administrative area Nakhon Suvarnabhumi around the new Bangkok airport became public. Mae Nak Phra Khanong
Mae Nak Phra Khanong ( th, แม่นากพระโขนง, meaning 'Lady Nak of Phra Khanong'), or simply Mae Nak ( th, แม่นาก, 'Lady Nak') or Nang Nak ( th, นางนาก, 'Miss Nak'), is a well-known Thai ghost. According to local folklore the story is based on events that took place during the reign of King Rama IV. A shrine dedicated to Nak was constructed at Wat Mahabut. In 1997, the shrine was relocated to the nearby Suan Luang district of modern Bangkok. Common legend A beautiful young woman named Nak, who lived on the banks of the Phra Khanong canal, had an undying love for her husband, Mak. While Nak was pregnant, Mak was conscripted into the Thai Army and sent to war where he was seriously wounded (in some versions it is the Kengtung Wars, while others are not specific). Lat Krabang ( th, ลาดกระบัง, ) is one of the eastern districts of Bangkok. Geography & history Lat Krabang (literally translating to "slope of shield") is a second largest district of Bangkok (the first one is neighbouring district Nong Chok). Neighbouring districts are (from the south clockwise): Bang Bo, Bang Sao Thong and Bang Phli ( Samut Prakan province); Prawet, Saphan Sung, Min Buri and Nong Chok (Bangkok) and Mueang Chachoengsao (Chachoengsao province).
