On Bodies
On Bodies was an American hardcore band active from 2009 to 2017. Principally based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where the majority of its members resided, it also included members from Michigan, Florida, New Jersey, and Kentucky. The group was formed by guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer, backing vocalist, and principal songwriter Richard Thurston (formerly of Timescape Zero, Culture, Blood Has Been Shed, Diecast, Terror, and Walls of Jericho), and vocalist and lyricist Damien Moyal (formerly of Culture, Shai Hulud, Morning Again, Bird of Ill Omen, As Friends Rust, Bridgeburne R, and Damien Done). The band later also included former members of Until the End, Where Fear and Weapons Meet, Glasseater, Destro, Mixtapes, and The Homeless Gospel Choir. Damien Zev Moyal (born September 25, 1976) is an American vocalist, lyricist, musician, songwriter and designer. Originally from Amstelveen, North Holland, Netherlands, he moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Miami, Florida where he notably fronted such hardcore punk, metallic hardcore and melodic hardcore bands as Shai Hulud, As Friends Rust, Morning Again, Culture, Bird of Ill Omen and Bridgeburne R. Moyal has been based in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 2006 and is the founding member of the semi-eponymously named gothic rock/post-punk band Damien Done. Walls Of Jericho (band)
Walls of Jericho is an American metalcore band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1998. History Candace Kucsulain, Apathemy's singer from 1996 to 1998, joined the band when it was founded. In April 1999 the band released their first EP, ''Underestimated'', which was followed by a second EP, ''A Day and a Thousand Years'', containing ''Underestimated'' and demo tracks, released on Florida-based ''Eulogy Recordings'' and later by European imprint Genet. After touring in support of the releases, the band was signed to Trustkill Records and released their debut full-length album ''The Bound Feed the Gagged'' in December 1999. John Wylie (musician)
Morning Again is an American metalcore band from Florida. They were known for their metallic sound as well as for their straight edge, vegan, anti-religious and anti-government ideals. The band was a "sister band" to Culture, often switching members after one had left the other. Several members went on to play in other bands such as As Friends Rust and Dead Blue Sky. The band was originally from Cooper City, Florida, but moved to Coral Springs in 1998 before breaking up later that year. After playing several reunion shows over the years, the band released a new EP in 2018. History John Wylie who had left Culture earlier that year wanted a band with more intense and personal views. In December 1995, Morning Again was formed with Damien Moyal and Louie Long who had both been in Culture in the two prior years, on vocals and drums. The Homeless Gospel Choir, also known as Derek Zanetti, is a folk-punk musician from Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is signed to A-F Records and has released seven albums to date. Mixtapes was an American pop punk band from Cincinnati, Ohio, signed to No Sleep Records. The band formed in 2009, and released multiple studio albums before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2014. In 2019, ''Consequence'' ranked Mixtapes at number 89 on its list ''The 100 Best Pop Punk Bands''. History Mixtapes was formed in 2009, by friends Ryan Rockwell and Maura Weaver. Sharing lead vocals and guitar duties, the pair hired drummer Tim Rengers to record the band's eponymous debut album, ''Maps'', which was released via Death to False Hope Records in March 2010. Richard "Chip" Walbert (born January 16, 1979) is an American musician, songwriter and disc jockey, originally from Tampa, Florida, but long-established in Miami, Florida. He is best known for his time playing guitar in the hardcore punk and metalcore bands Where Fear and Weapons Meet, Until the End, On Bodies, and Morning Again. He also played in Destro, All Hell Breaks Loose and Dance Floor Justice. History Walbert became active in the South Florida hardcore punk scene in 1995 and started his first band, Destro, in 1997 with high school friends Roy Ugarte, and future Glasseater guitarist, Ariel Arro. Where Fear and Weapons Meet was a hardcore punk band from South Florida. The group's first EP appeared in 1998; they followed it with a full-length in 1999, both on Revelation Records, and won nationwide exposure. They then released a split with Comin' Correct before returning with another full-length, ''Unstoppable'', on Triple Crown Records. Their final release was ''Control'', in 2003.
