Omphile Abel Ramela (born 14 March 1988) is a South African cricketer. A left-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spin bowler, he made his first-class cricket, first-class debut for Gauteng cricket team, Gauteng in December 2007 before joining Boland cricket team, Boland the following month. He also represented the Cape Cobras on several occasions between 2009 and 2010. The 2014–15 season was his breakthrough year. He finished as the Cobras' top run-scorer in the first-class competition with 724 runs at 48.26, which included a double hundred. Soweto () is a township of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng, South Africa, bordering the city's mining belt in the south. 2015 Africa T20 Cup
The 2015 Africa T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket tournament held in South Africa from 4 September to 4 October 2015, as a curtain-raiser to the 2015–16 South African domestic season. Organized by Cricket South Africa, it featured thirteen South African provincial teams, as well as a Zimbabwean development XI and the national sides of Kenya and Namibia. The sixteen participating teams were split into four pools of four, with the teams from each pool playing all of their matches at one ground across a single weekend. 2017–18 Sunfoil Series
The 2017–18 Sunfoil Series was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 19 September 2017 to 25 March 2018. Knights were the defending champions. There was a planned break in the competition between October and February for the first season of the T20 Global League (TGL). However, the TGL was postponed to November 2018, with South Africa's domestic T20 competition moved back from March 2018 to November 2017 to replace it. After the first four rounds of fixtures, all twelve matches had ended in draws. The first win of the tournament came in the fifth round, when Titans beat Lions by nine wickets. By the end of the mid-season break in October 2017, fourteen of the fifteen matches had ended as a draw. Ahead of the final round of fixtures, five of the six teams were still in contention of winning the title. The Warriors are a Division 1 cricket team representing the Eastern Cape in South African domestic competitions. The Warriors take part in the CSA 4-Day Series first-class competition, the Momentum One-Day Cup and the Mzansi Super League T20 competition. The team's home venue is St George's Park in Port Elizabeth, as well as Buffalo Park in East London.
