Omari Glasgow (born 22 November 2003) is a Guyanese professional footballer who plays as a forward for MLS Next Pro club Chicago Fire II and the Guyana national team. Club career On 24 March 2022 it was announced that Glasgow had signed for MLS Next Pro club Chicago Fire II, the reserve team of Chicago Fire FC of Major League Soccer. The deal was for an initial two years with a club option to extend through 2024. Prior to signing with Chicago, Glasgow was playing for Western Tigers FC in the GFF Elite League. International career He debuted internationally with the Guyana U-17 team on 5 January 2019, in a 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship qualifying match held in the United States, in a 4–0 defeat to El Salvador. The Bahamas national football team is controlled by the Bahamas Football Association; it was founded in 1967 and joined FIFA in 1968. Bahamas has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup. They have been a part of CONCACAF since 1967. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is a stadium in North Sound, Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda. It was built for use in the 2007 Cricket World Cup where it hosted Super 8 matches. The stadium usually caters for 10,000 people, but temporary seating doubled its capacity for the 2007 World Cup. The stadium is named after former West Indies cricket captain Viv Richards. Location The stadium is about 10–20 minutes' drive from the capital city, St. John's, and the country's international airport. Leonora, Guyana
Leonora is a village in Essequibo Islands-West Demerara (Region 3), one of Guyana's 10 regions. Its subdivisions are Pasture, Sea Field, Para Field, Groenveldt and Sea Spray. The neighboring villages are Anna Catherina and Uitvlugt. Leonora encompasses an area of about , once part of the Parish of St. Luke. It stretches from Edinburgh in the east to Stewartville in the west, and from the Atlantic Ocean in the north, to the south as far as the West Demerara Water Conservancy. Leonora was named after the historical 7,942 acre Leonora sugar plantation, which operated from before 1789 until the Leonora Estate sugar factory was closed down in December 1986. Synthetic Track And Field Facility
The Synthetic Track and Field Facility in Leonora, Guyana is a 3000-seat multi-sport facility that is used by football club Slingerz FC as their home stadium. It is also used to host youth sports events. In 2018, it hosted six matches of the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship qualification, three featuring Guyana and three featuring other teams. Construction Costing approximately G$1.084 billion (US$ million), the facility officially began construction in December 2010 and was split into two phases. The 2022–23 CONCACAF Nations League B is the second division of the 2022–23 edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, the second season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 41 member associations of CONCACAF. It is being held from 2 June 2022 to 28 March 2023.
