Omar Zoboli
Omar Zoboli (born 1953, Modena) is an Italian oboist and professor at the Musikhochschule Basel - Switzerland Studies and competitions He studied Oboe under Sergio Possidoni, Heinz Holliger and Paul Dombrecht. Experience and inspiration was gained by working with Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Frans Brüggen. He gained first prize at the International Competition of Ancona and at the Italian Television (RAI) Competition for Young Performers 1978. Activities, performances He owes his international reputation largely to his first recordings (among others a CD dedicated to Antonio Pasculli, the “Paganini of the Oboe”) which were received with great acclaim, and brought engagements at various festivals and with major orchestras in Berlin, Rotterdam, Paris, Warsaw, Lugano, Geneva, Zurich, Basel, Milan, London, Japan and the United States. Stradivarius Records, Italian Casa Discografica Stradivarius (founded 1988) is a Milan based independent Italian record label specializing in early music and contemporary classical music. The record label was originally based from a shop in the Via Stradivari, but the shop is now located in the Via Sormani, Cologno Monzese. Schwann was a German classical music record label based in Düsseldorf and originally connected with the Verlag Schwann publishing house. One of the first records in 1962 was an LP of musical examples to accompany a book on medieval music. The book publishing business of Verlag Schwann is now part of Cornelsen Verlag. Harmonia Mundi is an independent record label which specializes in classical music, jazz, and world music (on the World Village label). It was founded in France in 1958 and is now a subsidiary of PIAS Entertainment Group. Its Latin name ''harmonia mundi'' translates as "harmony of the world". Claves Records is a Swiss classical record label, which was founded in 1968 by Marguerite Dütschler-Hüber (1931–2006) in Thun. History Marguerite Dütschler-Hüber founded Claves with business partner Ursula Pfaehler when her piano teacher Jörg Ewald Dähler was unable to find a company willing to record and issue an LP of Bach preludes. The label specialised in Swiss music and artists such as flutist Peter-Lukas Graf and Lieder recitals by performers including Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Teresa Berganza and Ernst Haefliger.
